I apologize if I am interrupting your wedding preparations. It's very soon, isn't it?

I just wanted to ask you something. About dark magic.

Thank you, Loki. Are you and your fiancee-soon-to-be-bride accepting gifts? I think we can come up with something better than a toaster.

Faltines sound familiar. I read a book at Stephen's about them. They're from the same dimension Dormammu came from, aren't they?

I don't want anything to happen to him. He's been trying to find the right spell for it, but I know you're right. It's too dangerous for him to do it himself. Is there any way I can help too? He told me to let him handle it, out of not wanting to tip the entity off, but like I said...I don't want anything to happen to him.

I know that is a Midgardian custom, so yes, of course. If you'd like to, that would be lovely. We both enjoy the tarts that pop from toasters, for what it is worth?

My, you are well read. They are actually from the the Faltine Dimension, but Dormammu is a rogue Faltine. A being borne of pure magic and energy. There's several such lesser beings roaming after being formed into being, particularly in the Dark Dimension. Every so often, one slips through the veil into this reality. It's possible that some bumbling sorcerer called it forth. Summoning specific elementals and making a novice mistake, for example.

The entity will do much the same as the Reality Stone did when it infiltrated Jane Foster. It will attempt to protect itself and its host. Even your demonologists or exorcists...is that what they are called? They seem to have quite the time removing infestations.

I have some ability to breeze through minds and suggest things to those who are susceptible to such suggestion. Perhaps if I tricked it, it might be left unaware, and then you could work with him to rid yourself of it.

It would need be sent back from whence it came, afterward.

Pop tarts? You learn something new everyday.

Yes, I think the bumbling cultist acting pretending he was a sorcerer called it forth. That makes it sense. It was certainly a novice mistake that effected me more than I thought it would. Now I'm just glad I closed the portal.

That sounds like a good idea though, tricking it. Otherwise it will resist strongly, I'm sure. But then Stephen and myself would have room to remove it.

We're very fond of the tarts that pop out of toasters. I like the blue berry ones the most.

Can you give me the location of the portal, and that way I can see if there's any residue left behind, to find a point of origin?

Truly. If it's a demonic presence, or even a lesser imp, you'll need trick it to be rid of it. Otherwise, it will become defensive and very stubbornly refuse to leave. And no one likes the effects of a demon overstaying its welcome.

I will certainly keep this in mind. I like the s'mores ones, though they're very sweet.

Yes, of course. [address of apartment] That was the cult leader's hidey hole. He won't remember anything that happened that night, I made sure of it.

I agree. I also don't particularly want to give birth to a baby with a demon inside.

Those are rather sweet, but I do enjoy Midgardian chocolate.

Give me a day to go forth and study it. I won't interfere with the inept fool, since I can render myself invisible for a time. That he doesn't remember is a blessing, as the idiot might have tried it again. Then we can see about a trick, when we know from whence it came.

I have gathered from whence the demon was summoned. Regrettably, I fear it's from a particular death dimension known as Hell. Far different from the Helheim that we Asgardians know of. It was easily deduced from the residue left behind that time moved differently. A day of time here equates to years there. Thus the demon essence within you was likely from one of the old ones.

I will not mince words. It will be difficult to trick, and equally so to remove it without one of our number striking a deal with the lord of that realm.

I will work with you and Midgard's mage when you both name the time and the place.

Thank you, Loki. I don't need the word mincing anyway, so I appreciate the candor.

I also do not like the sound of making a deal Stephen already did that once, and he died thousands of times-- but we will have to see. Let me chat with Stephen and decide on a time to meet, and where. Likely it will be at the Sanctum.

You're quite welcome. Do keep me informed and I will arrive ready for some tricks. When the moment arrives, remember to keep your mind open and trust that I know what I'm doing.
