Text to Stephen
(1) Okay. I'm as proud and child free as you, one thing that we never had to argue about but Stephen. Really. I mean, REALLY.

(2) Calling a pregnancy a 'demonic possession'? Sure, there's the throwing up and the weird sleeping and bad dreams and yes, TECHNICALLY, a foetus is a parasite. But goddamnit, don't freak me out about demons when it's just what happens when people have sex.

(3) I even called my MOTHER and asked her to casually pray for me, just to be on the safe side. She cried tears of happiness, made my dad get on the phone with her and I had to listen to a 3 way blessing. By the way, I'm dragging your ass over there for Thanksgiving this year.

(4) So. Long story short. No demons, just a baby that will one day projectile vomit. And projectile crap. Sometimes at the same time.

(1) You're right. I never thought that was a point of contention. We've both claimed that we're too busy for children. And would be horrible parents. Thank the Gods and Goddesses. Every single one of them.

(2) Oh. That. It is technically a benign parasite in the normative sense, but this is a potentially malignant parasite in the metaphysical sense. After a demonic entity vomited dark matter on her. It happens.

(3) That might not be a bad idea, but it only works if you believe it will. If we do a conference call and I tell your parents that I'm involved in the mystic arts, would that qualify as a prayer circle?

(4) All right. There are ways this can happen (lets not go into the whole Rosemary's Baby thing) so I need you to answer this question for me: How would a young woman become pregnant if her partner is essentially an android and androids don't reproduce biologically?

(1) It's not a claim if it's actually true. How would I fit a kid in between saving lives, doing origami, making inappropriate life choices etc etc? It would be chaos. The poor kid would be living in a drawer.

(2) And telling my mother you're in the mystic arts will have the same reaction as I had: she'll think you're in a cult, and she'll pray even harder for you (I didn't pray, for the record). No. Thanksgiving is still on. I'll steal the good drugs from work.

(3) Okay, so she said the same thing, that he was an android, and I thought it was a cute thing like how I call you a robot or a souless automaton or whatever....wait. Hold on. Is this another 'Christine is going to have a moment ' things?

(1) I told you before that crumpling up a wad of paper isn't "making origami baseballs," Christine.

(2) There's not enough benzos on Earth to stop me from telling your mom that the turkey is too dry, the gravy is too salty, and that giving your father pie is contributing to his type 2 diabetes.

(3) It's one of those moments. Yes.

(1) Why do you keep insisting on ruining my dreams? I'm also amazing at making triangles and arrows.

(2) I didn't say we had to enjoy it. I just said we had to be there. If we're lucky, we won't be forced to stay in the house either.

(3) Robots can have babies? I don't...I just....I can't even understand this. What? She's pregnant and everything looks normal...I mean, I'll know more when we do her dating ultrasound in six weeks, but right now, it all looks fine...

(1) That's what I do, ruin hopes and dreams. At least everyone can count on me to be consistent.

(2) Oh no, I'd enjoy it if she kicked us out. You're in luck. I can help with that.

(3) All it would take is one portal into the living room, and she'll be screeching Matthew 16:23, and your dad will be throwing every crucifix on their walls at us. We won't be invited back for Christmas, either.

(4) Robots can't have babies in the traditional sense. Therefore? Demonic presences can help with that. I'm guessing that if there's a will, there's a way.

(1) I would love a portal into the living room ... and missing Christmas does sound like heaven ... but then what would we do?

(2) I really wish they had other kids instead of just pinning their hopes and dreams on my soulless body. Sigh.

(3) And we've come full circle. Children. Right. I don't even understand that sentence, but now I'm intrigued in an evolutionary sense. I wonder if the demonic presence activated something ... because otherwise, I'd have to wonder who actually inseminated Wanda. Is it the demon's?

(1) Go someplace else.

(2) You have a soul. If you didn't, you wouldn't care about what happens to everyone else or send me angry texts about how callous I can be.

(3) I think it's more the influence of the presence and the nature of Wanda's powers being chaotic. It can have unexpected consequences, even if she's learned a lot about how to hone and harness the energies when she needs to use them. I think in its dormant state, if there was any will, the presence helped find a way.

(4) That means it will need removed. Not the baby obviously, but the presence. Before it wreaks havoc in other ways or fuses with it.

(1) You make it sound so easy. What do you want to do?

(2) You are callous. And okay, fine. I have a soul but it's not Jesus's soul. I don't know. I need to take a shower, get all this christian talk off of me now.

(3) Oh, right. Wanda has powers. I didn't even ask her what they are. Should I be concerned they will affect the pregnancy?

(4) Careful on the removing! She's my patient now which means I am fiercely protective and will cut you if I have to.
