Who: Hope & YOU (open, whatever - it's basically a narrative that people can do 'coming back to reality' threads in if they want)
What: Leaving the soul world
When: Idk, recently?
Where: By the quantum tunnel, through the tunnel, etc
Rating: TBD
Hope was exhausted. Really, really exhausted. There was a kind of tired that felt simply like wearing a heavy jacket, and then the kind that was all heavy bones and for her, she was currently intimately familiar with the latter. Her body needed to rest but her mind needed it to move, to burn the anxiety right the hell out because they didn't have time for anything like that. She'd been working under a deadline of six hours - six hours, that was what she told Stephen. In that timeframe, she'd be able to draw up blueprints for another makeshift quantum tunnel here in this orange-tinted world of nothing and then recreate the tunnel itself. Of course, she didn't have Scott here to help her, didn't have Tony or his AI worker bees. It was just her, party of one - she somehow managed to come up with the parts, in the same way Stephen was able to recreate parts of Greenwich Village. She wouldn't even be surprised if her favorite tea place was here too. The traditional British shop with a taxi from London parked right outside, the one they'd use for deliveries. Finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, a selection of cakes. And, the best part, a pot of steaming hot tea for one. It was a place she coveted badly. Home in general was what she coveted and that was what kept her working. Before she knew it, hours had passed and she'd managed to construct a tunnel on the prisoner's end that would merge with the one her and other science-tech folk built at Stark Industries before this mess. The coordinates she worked out after she talked to Stephen, doing her calculations, jotting down more notes. Here it goes. They had a shot to get this right, and only one shot, but she was confident and hopeful and here - shuffling people along through the tunnel so they could all leave this place behind. |
