Thor is one of the first to speak up. He has decided that knowledge is power, and he lets everyone know of what happened after Thanos visits the Asgardian refugee ship.

He explains that he was recently informed by his brother that Stormbreaker continues to wait for him. With this ultimate weapon, Thor could potentially harm Thanos. The likelihood isn't high, he admits, but it would be better than nothing.

All he needs is a ship, but he isn't sure if Peter's ship is fixed yet or not.

Wanda points out that while harming Thanos is possible, it did not matter for their other selves because he overpowered everyone, and half the universe got dusted anyway.

She shares that she helped fix Peter's ship, but suggests the best use is to use it to track the missing infinity stones to bend them to the will of their respective 'owners' rather than going after a fight. She also states that her connection with the mind stone allowed for this knowledge.

Nat agreed with both Thor and Wanda. Stating that the Stormbreaker Thor is talking about was enough to cause Thanos damage it should be enough to stop him completely if aimed for the head.

Wanda was also correct as their previous conversation about collecting the stones. "Is there a way to do both? Get Stormbreaker and collect the stones... All while protecting Earth. We know Thanos first attack is here in New York from the news feed that I remember from the other reality. After that, it's Wakanda... We can't let this fight reach there. It has to end here in New York"

Arms crossed as she leaned back in her chair exhaling for the moment.

Tony agreed with them. He does point out to Nat that if the fight did go to Wakanda, it would be more defensible than New York. If they can stop Squidward here and keep Strange off that space donut, that might help. There are simply too many civilians here, too densely packed in without the tech to defend them yet. It would be, as he succinctly puts it, "A clusterfucked bloodbath."

His own arms are crossed defensively over himself as the talks. "I'll defer to Steve if he wants to split us further into teams. Obviously, Thor needs to get his weapon because if nothing else made a dent on Thanos. I barely gave the guy a papercut. It sounds like Point Break had a case of bad aim and we're going to need an ultimate weapon if he makes it here again. I noticed when I was helping fix Quill's ship that there's a pod type of ship in there. Maybe split into two groups? Get both jobs done at the same time."

The look on Wanda's face, when Tony mentions the fight should go to Wakanda - well, all the color drains. She knows Vision is there - she remembers watching him die. In Wakanda.

But she also knows that he's right about too many civilians being potential casualties in New York. "I am going to Wakanda no matter what," she insists. "We must find a way to get the mind stone free from Vision in advance." It should have been done yesterday, so they weren't scrambling like once upon another universe.

"Someone familiar with Wakanda should join me. Maybe Bucky."

Her eyes widen suddenly when she looked towards Wanda's suggestion. "I'll go with you. James can stay here and protect New York." She said giving her a face. Wakanda got hit the hardest with the dusting, and one of those dusted was Bucky, she doubts Steve could handle that a second time around. "We should head out today, all three groups."

"Heading out today might not be easy peasy," Tony points out, since there are people to contact, ships to get ready, gear prep, et cetera. "I'm gonna defer to Steve on this, though. Cap says to drop everything and move out, I'm on board that freight train."

He's hoping that Cap gives them time to prepare so they can cover bases, get everything they need, make sure loved ones have safe shelter....

Throughout the conversation, Nebula—who hadn't sat but did her customary lean against a wall—'s eyes kept flickering to Tony, as to say, Remember what we talked about. Waiting for him to bring it up.

But as teams started forming, assignments divvied, she gritted her teeth and did so herself.

"Shall we address how he was victorious last time? How he defeated us on every front? Something we know for certain we can change?"

"Yeah. If he targets someone close to us to try to get the stones, we have to let them die," was Tony's answer. His face was grim as he stared back at Nebula. "Can't do it. No trade, no deal."

"I'm not going to Titan. Not unless Strange ends up there. So I'm on board for Wakanda if it comes to that. I'll pop a message off to T'Challa and Shuri, get them started on troubleshooting the Mind Stone out of Vision."

He didn't want Wanda to worry more. He knew Vision and her were close.

Tony also knew removing the stone might take Vision offline entirely, though.

Nebula nodded to Tony but wasn't satisfied re: everyone else yet. She looked around the room. The only eyes she avoided were Gamora's—it had been Nebula who'd been the indirect instrument of Gamora's destruction. "It's his winning move. Pit the immediate consequences against the distant ones. Hit you in your loved ones. You feel like you're making the right decision but you're not. Any missions that go out should not consist of combinations of people who are unwilling to sacrifice one another."

Listens and glances at Clint and soon back to Steve and Tony. "Wait, when was this talked about?" Asking since this is the first time she hears about letting people die. Especially innocent people.

Nebula shrugged, almost insolently. "So far Stark was the only one who thought to ask one of Thanos's daughters," the word spit out, "for insight on him. The insight is: he's a true believer. You can't outmuscle him. You are unlikely to outmanoeuvre him. You have to believe as hard as he does in the rightness of your cause or he will defeat you. And that includes not letting him use your own love against you. His vision is of the whole universe. Yours must be too."

Nick has been listening, nodding occasionally from his spot at the back of the room, but he has to agree with Nebula and Tony. First time for everything.

"The Guardians know more of our foe than we do, especially considering their history. If Nebula thinks the teams should be compromised of people who have minimal bonds, I would tend to agree."

Thor agrees with Nick, Nebula and Tony but he also disagrees.

The forge is either already ravaged by Thanos, or spared, he argues. He will lead a team to the forge, get his weapon, and it will comprise of those he trusts the most. He does not say it, but he hopes one of those people could potentially wield Stormbreaker if he perishes. Mjolnir chose its master after all -- Stormbreaker should act the same.

Thinks for the moment. "Partner people up with someone they don't have a bond with, so the sacrifice is less damaging." She said thinking for the moment. Eyes looking at Steve as she exhaled. "IF we do this, who goes with who. And for the record, I don't like this plan."

"You don't like it because hey, you're compromised like the rest of us," Tony was saying to Natasha, never one to shy away from conflict. "If I have to stay the hell away from Pep to keep my head in the game? Gonna do it."

To Thor, Nebula hadn't spoken but shrugged; if he was going where Thanos wasn't, the issue didn't apply.

At this question from Romanoff to Stark, Nebula's eyes did flicker finally to Gamora's.

Besides being confused about when SHIELD and the Avengers merged, and who the blue woman even was, Wanda didn't particularly like this plan of what seemed like extreme pragmatism.

"I understand some people may not bat an eyelash at letting people they love die," she spoke bitterly. "But for others it is not so easy." And she didn't want any lectures about how it was necessary, and she should just get over it for the good of the universe - she knew it was necessary. She'd done it. She'd killed Vision to prevent the mind stone from being taken by Thanos, and yet he'd managed it anyway.

They also didn't know for certain if they could change the outcome now by simply agreeing to kill each other if need be - nothing was certain.

She looked at Tony. "I will go to Wakanda then, as soon as you inform them we are coming." If Natasha wanted to come with her, she wouldn't object. At least she knew the Widow, and felt a camaraderie with her.

"Already done," Tony said, holding up his phone to show Wanda and then looking at Nebula and over to Nat. "Good enough plan, if he shows up. When he shows up. So far, he hasn't sent Tweedledum and Tweedledee here for Elrond."

Tony glanced over at Clint with a nod, like he might reluctantly agree with that nickname. It was either that or Gandalf. Both were jerks.

Bucky had been listening quietly from the back of the room, hidden away from sight, an old way—but one that worked best for the situation. There was much to consider. The blue girl named Nebula seemed to be most on track.

He sighed before speaking up and briefly moving closer so they could hear him. His eyes didn’t lift from the table, the only thing catching light was the vibranium technology glinting from his left arm. “I’m going to Wakanda. I owe T’challa everything. And if we’re all a compromise to each other? We need to switch it up. Natasha and Steve should hold New York and Stark should come to Wakanda as well...have we thought about not sending the Guardians into space, exactly where they were previously ambushed?”

"Yeah, switching it up sounds good. I'm in for Wakanda. I'll need to tell Pep first, get some of the projects wrapped if we can overnight."

Tony nodded over to Bucky. His eyes didn't linger long though.

"I think they're on they're on it. Space, I mean. Quill gave me a long distance com for when they try to get whatever a jump point's open."
