Who: Jane Foster, Steve Rogers, and Bucky Barnes
What: Two super soldiers and a tiny scientist go to a ball game: Mets v Reds
When: Tuesday night
Rating: TBD but green is likely

Jane had to admit Tony knew what he was about. The private entrance to Citi Field idea was genius. It was a parking lot so private in fact, Jane suspected it was restricted for players only. No one could pull strings like Tony Stark. The only thing Jane did regret as she, Steve, and Bucky were ushered through a tunnel into the stadium, was that they weren't able to get a good view of the ballpark. Citi Field had been inspired by Ebbets Field, where the Dodgers had played before moving to LA. A fact currently being recited to them by the lanyard-wearing intern assigned to guide them to their suite.

The guide shortly deposited them in a small room on the club level. The suite was an interior party area of couches, tables, TV broadcasting the same game they were here to watch, and fully-stocked buffet. It opened onto their own private box of seats, providing something that at least simulated sitting outside at a ballgame. It was all way too expansive for only three people but there seemed to be little they could do about that now.

Jane was carrying a battered notebook and as she flipped it open, partially colored diamonds were visible. Pages and pages of baseball scorekeeping, starting in a child's hand and evolving into Jane's messy handwriting of today. "Thanks guys," she told Steve and Bucky, casting about to see if she could find tonight's lineup. "Not sure how it compares to the last time you did this, but I appreciate it."

"Some of us still are short." It was easy to forget that Steve had been small. That had become more of the legend of Captain America but it was his life. Jane's experience meant she tried to see the person, not the Avenger, and that was a good reminder. Not that she knew Bucky at all. Steve at least she had met a few times before.

"It'd be nice to go more often but I don't know if I could manage as often as that," Jane said. "I'm used to working nights." She peered up at the sky. "Hopefully they can play. Looks like rain."

"Nothing wrong with being short." A hint of a smile could be seen on the soldier's face. He'd been friends with Steve no matter his size when they were growing up. And frankly, he'd never been one to judge, nor was he in any position to. Those things weren't really important to him.

The mention of season tickets gave a small anxiety in the pit of his stomach, but he kept silent so as not to put down something that would make Steve happy.

He glanced up at the sky to nod in agreeance to Jane's point. "They should be fine, so long as the field doesn't flood." Though Bucky wasn't privy to up to date game knowledge. He did take advantage of leaving his seat to get into the aforementioned assortment of foods. Especially hot dogs. "Either of you want something as I build my platter?"

"They call games a little quicker than that these days." Jane paused, starting to copy the lineup onto the scorecard in her notebook.

"Um, do the hot dogs look like they're all beef?" Checking brands with her dad, then chowing down on hot dogs piled high with mustard. Or if he could be sure, Dad would buy cheeseburgers and fries and they'd take the greasy little trays back to their seats. Jane closed her eyes against the memory, breathing in the smell of fried food and approaching rain.

"Nevermind, it doesn't matter. If you could put a hot dog in a bun for me, I'll come fix it in a sec. Thanks." She looked over her shoulder to give Bucky a smile. Jane barely knew him besides what had been on the news but so far Steve had good taste in friends. Jane finished scribbling down the lineup and went to fix her plate at the buffet piled with more food than even two supersoldiers could eat.
