Jane had to admit Tony knew what he was about. The private entrance to Citi Field idea was genius. It was a parking lot so private in fact, Jane suspected it was restricted for players only. No one could pull strings like Tony Stark. The only thing Jane did regret as she, Steve, and Bucky were ushered through a tunnel into the stadium, was that they weren't able to get a good view of the ballpark. Citi Field had been inspired by Ebbets Field, where the Dodgers had played before moving to LA. A fact currently being recited to them by the lanyard-wearing intern assigned to guide them to their suite.
The guide shortly deposited them in a small room on the club level. The suite was an interior party area of couches, tables, TV broadcasting the same game they were here to watch, and fully-stocked buffet. It opened onto their own private box of seats, providing something that at least simulated sitting outside at a ballgame. It was all way too expansive for only three people but there seemed to be little they could do about that now.
Jane was carrying a battered notebook and as she flipped it open, partially colored diamonds were visible. Pages and pages of baseball scorekeeping, starting in a child's hand and evolving into Jane's messy handwriting of today. "Thanks guys," she told Steve and Bucky, casting about to see if she could find tonight's lineup. "Not sure how it compares to the last time you did this, but I appreciate it."
