Guests are greeted by a trail of rose petals to lead them to the rooftop. With the sun setting, the view across the harbor would be magnificent, and a perfect backdrop to an elegantly displayed table. There are various platters of charcuterie, wine bottles dotting the side tables, and an open bar at the back. Side tables are placed in comforting nooks, and there is ample seating for all.

Smells of various meats cooking on the barbeque waft through the air, and the host himself will be manning one of them. Contrary to popular belief, Thor can cook. After all, a warrior who cannot feed himself quickly becomes thin.

Welcome to all. Thor hopes you all enjoy your evening, and if things become messy, please -- seek your host. He will happily find you a space to relax and wind down if required. The last thing he wants is hurt feelings.

This was a stupid test. He had imagined kissing her. He'd imagined it so many ways, so many days, ever since they met.

…But the reality was nothing like any of his imaginings.

That she'd bend for him… what her mouth actually felt like… that their hands would be gentle on one another's faces…

No, he hadn't imagined any of that.

He would break the kiss if she didn't. But not for a long… long moment.

	Her initiative unlocked him. He met the kiss, slipping his hand now from her cheek to her red hair. His fingers were cut and calloused from years of arrows, guns, and knives, but they flowed like water under her hair to cradle the back of her head. His other hand gently moved to rest on her ribs. 	Was this really happening? How many nights had she fantasized about this, for a moment like this with him? But things always got in the way. Even now, things were in the way. But none of them were going to let this moment go to waste. Slowly she pulled from the kiss as emerald eyes came to stare at Clint's for the moment. He pulled away too, also slowly this time, and met her eyes with his gray ones.

"Yeah?"

It was what they'd played at when he first recruited her, with so many ulterior motives, understanding from the start it was code, assessment, not feelings.

But the feelings had been there after all, all along.

Part of him dreaded the time of getting back to their place—the chance for introspection, possibly for his memory to flip again, from the Barton whose whole life was only Tasha and SHIELD to the one of that dream-turned-nightmare…

So that was an argument for taking the time. If by the time they got there, the moment faded… it was probably best to let it.

But he would put money on there being a real chance, for once, of it not.
