Who: The Hulk & Open to Tony, Valkyrie, Wanda, Dr Strange & Anyone else who wants in on the fun
What: Game-wide plot: the Hulk is on a rampage
When: Sometime after this
Where: NYC
Rating: Warning: Definitely not easy being green

The Hulk was angry. No, not just angry, pissed. Somebody had fired at puny Banner and that moment of complete and utter horror follow by an overwhelming surge of panic and ultimately fear had been all that was needed for the Hulk to roar ferociously into being.

They had intended to harm him but all they had managed to do was make him stronger and driven home the point that his sentiments of earth hating him were still very true. The missile had done absolutely nothing to the Hulk but it had caused a lot of collateral damage and probably taken lives, but the Hulk wasn't exactly concerned for that.

Not when he was busy ripping apart what remained of the missile before letting out a sudden loud guttural cry which if anything just seemed to increase his size until he barrelled down the street. Cars stood absolutely no chance under him and the street didn't fair much better, giant holes were ripped into the tarmac as the Hulk's anger was blindly aimed and subsequently damage was to be expected. Holes were ripped through buildings and all the while the Hulk continued forward, the only sign he'd been fired at was the large dark mark on his chest. He was completely unstoppable and caught up in blind undiluted rage, a primal reaction to an attack that had been unprovoked and unwarranted, he was the thing of nightmares, he really was.

It didn't help that the authorities had no idea on how to handle the Hulk so resorted to the thing they knew how to do and that was open fire and all that did was make things worse, so so much worse. Blockades were ripped apart like they were made of paper and the Hulk continued to wreak complete and utter havoc.

The familiar, "HULK SMASH" echoed for all to hear.

Sometimes it's possible to get a word in! If he's interrupted. But he'd probably keep talking through the interruption, so it's a fair point. Overall, he didn't want it to seem like him helping out was because they weren't capable of handling it themselves (they were), and Tony also felt like he should warn them about snipers (because obviously, that'd be bad).

"Again," Tony confirmed, shifting some of the debris aside and started using a gauntlet mounted laser to cut an escape route. "Ellen needs to watch it, because they know her face now. As far as what set this off? Dunno yet. Kinda thinking someone triggered Hulk coming out on purpose. By trying to blow him up."

He bent down on a knee and poked his head into the hole in the side of the fallen wall, propping it up using the suit's shoulders. His comm speaker echoed inside, "Hi. What's your name?" There was a pause. "Ok, Sophie. Try crawling this way while I hold this up. Plenty of room. You're rocking this. Yep, right under my arm."

A very smudged and scuffed up little girl crawled out and stood up on shaky legs.

"Yay!" Tony gave her a thumbs up. "Great job! Gonna get you your own pizza party for toughing this out like a champ. But you might wanna back up a little bit more. Iron Man's got a helluva crick in his back and he's gonna need to stand up."

When the girl backed away and was promptly plucked up by an EMT, Tony stood straight up while shouldering the wall aside, away from everyone. It was an area where there weren't any heat signatures or life signs. Those were looking pretty sparse, so he was hopeful that a lot of people heeded that evacuation order. Or things could've been even worse.

The Iron Man armor arched a little as though realigning the back armor plates, the occupant muttering in such a way that it seemed he forgot he could still be heard by everyone else, "I gotta do more yoga."

At Stark's mention of snipers, Ellen paused with a large hunk of steel in both hands, one end glowing dully as it cooled. "Those assholes, again?" She glanced around at the scene. "I'll keep an eye out."

She carried the hunk of steel over to a growing pile of debris and set it down. She straightened and gave the scene another look. It was less chaotic now and more organized. Most of the looky-loos had been chased off by the army of cops now in place. Even the walking wounded were largely absent. Only the seriously injured and the dead remained among the swarms of EMTs and aid-givers, the dead remaining because the ambulances were too busy transporting those who could still be saved.

She watched Iron man, smirking at the sight of an armored figure clutching its back and stretching uncomfortably. The smirk faded as she considered Stark's other comment. "Someone set the Hulk off on purpose? Son of a bitch."

Last she's heard, scores were dead and many hundreds injured. "When you find out who did it, let me know, will you? I want a piece of the action when they get taken down."

Tony was purposefully not looking at anything covered by a tarp for longer than five seconds. He ran another scan and then the face retracted again as he winced. Definitely no more living people nearby. Time to move on.

"Yeah, better keep an eye out. I think they did blow him up. On purpose. Social media blew up too. This whole mess has gone global already," he admitted with a shrug, looking over at her and Gamora. "I'll talk at Steve about that. See what he says. I mean, you're helping out tons right now, so...speaking of helping out, did you find a job yet?"

He motioned toward the building next door as he drew closer to where they were standing, like he was going to head that way.

Ellen studied the walls of windows above her head. A sniper could be lurking behind literally any one of them. Or on a rooftop. It wasn't unheard of for terrorists to set off a bomb, then when emergency responders arrived, set off another to victimize even larger numbers of people.

Still, they've been at this for hours now, and no secondary attacks had happened. So that probably wasn't the plan. It was something to keep in mind, though. Especially for those, like Gamora, who were a lot easier to spot than she was. Or those who were celebrities in their own right--Stark, any of the former Avengers, or less well-known but still public metahumans like Jessica Jones or Luke Cage.

She was a relative unknown. She'd come to the conclusion that the attack on her had been opportunistic. Just bad luck that she'd revealed herself to a couple of gunmen armed with anti-metahuman rounds and they'd decided to try out their new toys on her.

"I'll keep an eye out," she told Stark. She also mentioned her thoughts on secondary shooters. "It didn't happen this time, but it might."

"No permanent gig yet, but I've got one coming up. Sort of an audition. I'm escorting a legend in his own mind to a red carpet event." She shrugged. "The pay is good."

She lowered her voice so that only Tony and Gamora could hear her. "I've heard there's a super-fight club operating in town somewhere. I haven't found out where, yet, but it occurs to me that the bad guys might consider that a nice barrel of fish to shoot at if they know about it."

"So this is connected to those who shot both Thor and the Valkyrie." Gamora regarded Tony with a curious and suspicious look. "Who is this Hulk? No one's said but I feel like he's more familiar than a simple villain."

She smiled as she watched Tony handle the little girl Sophie; small gestures of helpfulness were so very important too, and people so often overlooked them. As she heard a displacement of debris threatening to slide down and onto an EMT, Gamora rushed to hold it off and pull it down safely. She smiled at the woman's thanks and moved back to where she had been standing, right by Ellen. When Stark asked about the job she almost thought he was addressing her and was about to point out she was working for him but then Ellen took the question and Gamora realized, feeling silly, that it hadn't been addressed to her.

The job sounded harmless enough, but the fight club not so much. Not only did Gamora assumed it to be illegal, it was also dangerous because Ellen has a point. "You're right. If we're being targeted, or people like us, a place where they're gathered is perfect. Not just for guns and bullets, but explosives to target more people at once. Some kind of shrapnel..."

"Maybe we should check it out," Ellen said to Gamora. "We'd fit right in at a super fight club. See who shows up. With any luck, we might find some of the bad guys to interrogate. If not, we might make a little money. Assuming there's a purse and they aren't just fighting for the hell of it."

Gamora eyed Ellen as she pondered the other woman's idea. It was a worthwile proposition, and not like either of them looked to have any trouble at a place where fighting was the first order of business. Nodding, Gamora shrugged.

"Sounds like a plan. In my experience there's always money involved if the fighters are volunteering. If not, there's money for whomever is forcing them to be there." Oh the places she had been to. "I have work but reach out to me via the network and we'll set it up. I'm sure my boss won't even mind me exchanging some shifts with colleagues for this worthwhile pursuit."

She eyed Stark with a smirk.

"Okay, then," Ellen said. "I'll work on figuring out when and where the club meets and I'll let you know."
