Who: Zahira and Zuma
When: Mid-Morning
Where: The Palace Gardens
What: Some mother-daughter interaction
When she had been younger (not too much, but a little), Zahira had spent most of her days taking care of her children. She could have had nannies and servants, of course, but they were her children and she loved them and had never really minded the day to day tasks of caring for them. Of course, all children had to grow up and all three of them were now at an age where they certainly didn't need their mother fussing over them constantly. This wasn't to say Zahira still didn't fuss and dote now and then, she simply didn't do it constantly anymore; they were big girls and boys, they could take care of themselves.
With her children now grown, Zahira had found other ways to occupy her time. With Azhar taking care of the nation and all that being the Firelord entailed, Zahira had made sure that everything within the palace was taken care of. Servants, hiring, food, being fully staffed, she made sure she had an eye on everything. It wasn't to make anyone nervous, of course, but more to make sure everything ran smoothly so Azhar had one less thing to worry about.
Besides making sure things were well in order, the Firelady had also taken to reading over some of the reports that Azhar read. He oftentimes asked for her opinion and she liked to know, in advance, what he was talking about so she didn't have to waste his time asking for an explanation. Of course, she couldn't see all of them, but the ones she could she made sure to read thoroughly. She had several in hand today and had taken them outside to the gardens, finding a comfortable and quiet place to sit while she went over them. It had been far too nice to stay inside.
