Who: Parvati and Seamus
What: Depressing detention discussions
When: Tuesday, March 15, evening
Where: Gryffindor Common Room
Rating: Swearing, maybe?
After the hellish previous week, Parvati was hoping for one where none of her friends would end up in detention, for Defense Against the Dark Arts (which, at this point, was basically turning into just Dark Arts), or otherwise. Recently, she'd developed a bit of a complex about the fact it wasn't just Lavender anymore, and that this past week both Neville and Seamus had ended up in detention as well, leaving her as the only Gryffindor 7th year who hadn't. She'd been trying to be on her best behavior, but she felt like there was something wrong with her since she'd been able to do all the curses. The fact that she'd performed the killing curse on her first try still rattled her, and she was trying to push away thoughts that it made her a bad person.
Seeing Lavender's bruise and Neville and Seamus' bandaged hands didn't help, even now that the bandages were gone, but the scars were still visible. For the first time, she felt like she didn't really belong in Gryffindor. Gryffindors should be able to say no, and they shouldn't be scared of detentions. But she hadn't, and she was, and it was weighing on her.
Coming back to the common room after a night in the library, she spotted Seamus on a couch in the corner, and she veered that way. Plopping on couch next to him, she gave him a small smile. "You up for some company, or am I crashing your alone time?"
