Network Post :: Hawthrone Atreides (NPC Kid -- Future One)
So the icicles are kind of cool (no pun intended, even if it's ice), but they're also kind of weird. One had this neat winter landscape, which I liked seeing since, you know, born and raised in space. Seeing actual snow on an actual ground is such a novelty. But some of the other icicles aren't as nice. I don't know how to describe them, except that they're not pleasant. They made me a bit uncomfortable, and it was kind of hard to pull away. So, I guess, be careful if you go touching or licking icicles? But maybe not lick them because that's not sanitary and no one needs to freeze their tongue to an icicle.

December 27 -- 🧊 - Icicles have started forming in odd places around the ship, and each one creates strange illusions when touched. Some show peaceful winter landscapes, others reveal eerie visions, and a few might show hints about the ship’s mysteries or your character’s future. But be careful—the longer you stare, the harder it is to look away.

.... Has someone seriously gone around licking random things growing from the ship?

Someone, some where, will want to do it. And may do it. Unfortunately, people are going to be people.

That's just asking for some sort of exotic disease. Or HPV.

Not to mention a lot of judgement and the knowledge that that rule is in place because of you. And the explanation of why that rule exists always coming back to you.

Not pleasant how?

Uncomfortable. I've never done drugs, so I don't know what that actually feels like, but it felt like how they describe it in books or show it in movies. Unsettling. Like something's off. I think some were about the ship, but I couldn't make a lot of sense of it. And one was

Like being outside of your body? I haven't touched any of them yet. Didn't think much of them since the ship does this kind of stuff all the time.

I guess? And not being fully in control? And kind of like these feelings are mine but not mine. The ship keeps doing weird stuff even in your future, but they looked neat, and I might have stumbled into the first one.

Hmm. It sounds like something not to look into too much.

I mean physically looking into it, not studying it, because it does sound like something that should be studied.

That's how I took it! It probably needs to be investigated by people who can investigate it. Maybe it's tied to those snow globes from earlier this month!

They're nothing like the icicles I can create.

But if ever you want to see snow, I can help you out.

How incredibly interesting. I may find an icicle to investigate just to see if what I am shown is what you were shown. Could you show me which icicles you found?

Sure! I don't think they're specific to each person, but I'll show you the ones that had the nice winter stuff and the ones that made me feel off so you know to avoid or not avoid at your discretion!

Even if they aren't specific, I think it'd be interesting to compare and see what details we each pick up.

Different places. There's one in a stairwell between the top deck and level one, mid ship port side. There's another a few levels down just inside level four. And I saw one in the clothing store and another hanging from a vent near the Gerard.

I'm still getting the hang of the ship. Stairwell on the top deck, level one, mid ship port side. That's a lot of words for - right or left?
