Who: Shy (his Computer personality), OT anyone with Internet access When: Wednesday July 1st, evening Where: Shy's room/the Internet What: Shy is working on the Tournament, Computer is bored The monthly tournament was, once again, fast approaching and Shy was, as usual, hard at work preparing for the event. There was always so much to be done, the usual work of books being balanced, ensuring that the correct invitations were sent out, that there was enough staff on hand to manage the events in case of emergencies or difficult mutants, this time was always busy. The reclusive technopath was wrapped up in his work, hunched over his keyless keyboard, staticy fingertips flickering as he communicated furiously with the island's computers, completely wrapped up in his work.
Within a firewalled compartment of Shy's mind, Computer was decidedly bored. Computer was a part of the strange mutant's mind, but it was its own separate personality and had been entirely walled off from the world ever since Shy and Computer had found themselves in a disagreement. That had been months ago, and Computer was endlessly restless. Shy was reclusive, but Computer was rather social, and now it was finding itself lonely. Carefully, Computer tested Shy's focus and found that the young mutant was entirely wrapped up in his work, paying utterly no attention to Computer or its activities. Perfect for Computer.
Careful to keep its actions under the attentions of the entirely focused technoapth, Computer slipped a part of its consciousness into the Island's network and went exploring. It was not terribly late, so there was likely to be someone online, with one of those new, fancy cellphone things which Shy hated if nothing else, Computer expected. At last it located one particular active device, and Computer reached out to pop up a message window within it. Unlike the dominant personality, who completely seized control of devices and always posted with over sized red font, Computer simply used a regular font, and even an emotion. Shy and Computer were surely as different from night and day.
Hello! :)
It was a very simple message, but Computer was unsure if it would be welcome. People were busy, they had lives and things to do, after all. Shy had no interest or respect for this, but Computer surely did. It waited to see if it would receive any kind of reply, excited for the chance to communicate with someone other than the surly young mutant it shared head space with.
