New sounds got variations of colors and sometimes the butterflies danced to the underlying melody or the bass beat, or even the harmonies that came along. Different kinds began to appear, swallow tails intermingling with monarchs, all of them in colors that nature could make but generally assigned more to flowers than butterflies. They all oriented on Brynn though, moving around her, making her the centerpiece of the movement.
Mia sat there with her arms around her knees looking up at the whole display and she did genuinely smile, the look making it all the way to her eyes. She was there for a little while....truly there and capable of understanding what was said. In a way, she was just as caught up in the whole thing, happy that there was something other than the constant pain and bloodshed this island was famous for.
Butterflies moved through the hall, lighting on others. Floating around their faces. And even on one person landing smack on their nose and fanning their wings as if this were totally normal. The world had gone mad. As mad as the young lady who started the whole thing, this unwitting dance party. It was hard not to get caught up in it.
However, as predicted, the guards eventually realized that it was time to break the whole thing up. And something else odd happened. They got to a point in the hall down from where Mia and Brynn were and couldn't come any further. There was no visible obstruction in the hallway, but whatever it was, it was there. An invisible wall? Telekinetics were not generally assigned to White Block. However, it wasn't telekinesis. Mia turned her head to look at the pair who had been coming to break things up and blinked at them as if surprised by their presence. She wasn't ready to go to bed yet. They were not going to make her go to bed now. She'd already slept for a month. She could afford to stay up all night.
