Getting Mia's attention was always a little bit of a strange affair. Sometimes she was more lucid than others. At the moment, she was semi-lucid in that she recognized there was a person there and they were talking to her. Mia didn't know Brynn's name, but she had seen her before. Hadn't she? It was hard to remember really since so much time had passed. Mia didn't know exactly how much time had passed, but was aware of it having gone by. The stars said time passes. Time runs away and leaves you standing by yourself on the shore looking at the horizon so very, very far away.
Looking up, she blinked at Brynn before the first piece of a wane smile appeared at the edge of her mouth, just quirking up the edge. Up and then down again, a smile flashes by over her lips. The confused haze returned to her eyes for a moment before sweeping away again. It was as if something behind those eyes was trying to make heads or tails of the situation and not managing all too well.
"Locked door," it wasn't a sentence, but the way she said it made it sound like a question. As if she didn't know there was a such thing called lock-down. Of course, she hadn't really spent a lot of time out of her room wandering in the dark before, so she dealt with curfew very rarely.
