He leaned back against the tree, folding his hands in his lap as he gave her his full attention. His head was tilted the smallest bit to one side, showing his interest in her. She did not seem guarded, much more distant. As if there were a wall she was not even fully aware of, like she was seeing the wold through a plate of glass. Interesting. The man was a tinkerer, he loved to edit and change and play around with things, it was part of being an inventor, and he could not help but occasionally wonder what people would be like, were they slightly different, tweaked, changed.
He nodded at her comment, eyes flicking over the ruined Blocks again, another sigh leaving him. What a mess. "I see, very new, then." He took in a breath, lips parting to say something, though he quickly closed them again. What could he say to her? Nothing she had not already said. She seemed to have a good grasp of the island and the way things worked. Conversing with a mutant was... odd. He had so little to say to mutants outside of Shy. So, he said the one thing he could. "You seem to understand well."
