Thanks for playing!
Wow! We have finally completed the month long run of fic/art for [info]areyougame! We would love to be able to run the asylum on a regular basis to encourage more fiction/art for the gaming fans out there, so please don't forget to complete the "exit poll" at the bottom of the post. (Because really, can anyone resist a ticky box?)

Writers, you should be highly pleased with yourselves. The quality of angst, drama, crack, action, pr0n, etc. was top-notch and so much fun to read. So, writers, thank you for all your hard work! We also had one art piece this round! It's always delicious to see art for gaming fandoms and for that, I thank you!

I have tagged the entries by fandom and author/artist. In the next week, I will have a master list posted of what was written.

If you still have stories that you are planning on getting finished, please feel free to post them here at will. I will catalog, tag and add them to the master list as they come in.

Again, thank you all for your participation. I had a great deal of fun and I hope you did too!

And now, for a spiffy little exit poll:

Scraping the poll - big issues with not being able to see the results...hell, I couldn't even see the results and I created it! So, if you could would you please reply in comments instead. Thank you!

1. Would you like to continue with this prompt challenge asylum?

A - Yes!
B - Nah, it was fun but...

2. If yes, when would you prefer the next round be scheduled?

A - Posting in October (prompting/claiming in September)
B - Posting in November (prompting/claiming in October)
C - Posting in December (prompting/claiming in November)
D - Whenever you would like to do it, mod.

3. Unused prompts from this round - would you like to see them:

A - Carry over from this round to the next - they're GOOD prompts, we can still use them!
B - Start fresh with new prompts - those prompts were good, but I like fresh meat.
C - Either way it's all good.

Er, says I'm not permitted to see the poll.

Course I still have that one prompt to do. Always late...or at least usually. Eheh.

I'm having issues with it too and I created it for pete's sake.

So, I am doing it the old fashioned way...answers in comments.

Yeesh!

Me like ticky boxes, but ticky boxes no like me. ;_;

So...

Would you like to continue with this prompt challenge asylum?
Yes!

If yes, when would you prefer the next round be scheduled?
Posting in October (prompting/claiming in Sept.)
or
Posting in December (prompting/claiming in November)
(I'm thinking of the NANOWRIMO folks out there who might want to play here too.)

Unused prompts from this round - would you like to see them:
Start fresh with new prompts - those prompts were good, but I like fresh meat.
(You could always let folks re-post the prompts from last run that they REALLY want to see done, while allowing those unloved prompts *coughQBERTcough* to fade quietly into the dark recesses of memory.)

Awww...I know. Ticky poll is being a beotch, so I am now resorting to grabbing answers manually.

It will probably deter a lot of people from answering, but at least those that will can be counted.

Thanks for putting in your two cents.

1. Yes! I couldn't do much this round, but I'd like to do more.

2. I normally participate in NaNoWriMo (in November), and Yuletide (in November-December), so A would work best for me.

3. I say go for it. If you're worried about things getting clogged, perhaps allow people to submit unused prompts, but don't carry them over automatically.

**Either one. I think Springkink on LJ is up against in September, then Kinkfest here in October, and I'd rather not try to split my prompts between comms like that again if it can be helped.

3. Unused prompts from this round - would you like to see them:
A - Carry over from this round to the next - they're GOOD prompts, we can still use them!
**Especially so people can see there's already a lot of one certain fandom or another and can try to spread it out a bit. ;-)

We did great huh? ^_~

Good first round and I am so happy with outcome!

Thanks for answering the questions. They helped in the overall decision. ^_^

1. Eventually, we'll have time to participate more, but I didn't mind reading this round.

Is is possible for us to submit still? I know the kids wanted to sit down and write, we've been too exhausted.

2. A. Why not?

3. Meh. There's one in last round I know my headmate wanted to try. Personally I don't mind either way.

Sure, you can still submit if you wish. I will just catalog the late ones as they come in from everyone.

I hear you on that exhaustion though. So there now.

1. A - Yes! It was fun, yo!

2. B or C. Kinkfest is in October, and trying to do kinkfest and areyougame at the same time just killed me.

3. B. Fresh meat! Plus, while I love FF7, this round was really FF7-heavy. New prompts might get more for different game fandoms, especially since more people will know about it the second time around.

yes, will play again! (and hopefully this time since I'll know about the asylum during prompting I can send more people over here to leave new prompts! ^^)

Timing: I think you should run the next round whenever it works for you. I personally probably won't be running another round of kinkfest in October, though it's possible the other mod will decide she wants to (she doesn't seem to hang out on IJ much, but you never know...), so that conflict might not be an issue. I probably couldn't participate in November because of NaNo, but I'm never sure how much of fandom in general is in that position.

Carrying over: I vote for carrying over prompts once, so people who missed a shot at something cool can pick it up the second time but they don't hang around forever and go stale.
...if that's too complicated an answer, then I tend more toward fresh meat. ^^

blah blah! clearly I am doing long-form answers when I don't have ticky boxes to choose for me. ^^;

Thank you for the plethora of advice you just gave in this one one comment! I am totally taking it all under advisement!

Long form answers work for me entirely. Thank you so much. <3

#1. A. (Next time, I might be able to participate, since this time, I was under way too much stress, and by the time it was gone, prompt-grabbing was over.)
#2. D. Though my preferred time is expressed in A.
#3. C.

Well, I look forward to seeing some prompts and writing from you next round.

Sory to here about your stress...just went through a bit of that myself and it is NOT fun in the least!

Good luck with everything!
