When the Strahl was stolen back from him, Vaan didn't think he had left anything behind. Or if he had, they were small things, barely missed and easily replaced, he assured himself. It wasn't until a few days later when he was tearing his room apart for his favorite piece that he realized it must have been on the ship.

He calmed himself down. They'd never find it. Or, if they did, they would just get rid of it. It wouldn't mean anything to them, it was just some pictures of...

Fran would kill him.

Fran did worse than kill him, in the end. One evening the older pirates met the younger ones at a bar somewhere, and after a few drinks and a few tall tales were told by the men, Fran casually reached into a bag she had been carrying and flipped something on to the table. “Is this what you look at while doing repairs?” Her voice was a purr and a growl together.

Balthier's eyebrows raised, then asked, “Oh, is that what you found in the engine room?” He turned a stern glance on the bright-red young man. “Just what were you using for lube on the gears, anyways?”

Penelo took one look at the picture, gasped, and started giggling uncontrollably.

Vaan could only stare at his favorite naked Viera picture collection and pray for a catastrophe of some sort.
