Galen had never been so livid. He'd been knocked out and awoke to find himself locked away in a dungeon. He'd tried so hard to get out. The door was covered in splintered claw marks, but as fast as it had started, the storm was over. He could feel her in trouble. He didn't even have to feel it. He knew Keller. He knew her and the fact that he had been stuck there and couldn't help her had made him go through a crazy mix of emotions.
It'd taken a while for anyone to reach him, and the person didn't look like they were in any shape to actually do what he had. Galen actually helped to carry him to the nearest bed before trying to run around and find out who was still alive and who wasn't. It was devastating. There were people laying everywhere, humans and non alike. He wanted to be selfish, he wanted to go look for her, but he couldn't. Instead, he started checking bodies. Each of them, he'd come to know by face and by name and it just caused his heart to wrench inside his chest to see them this way.
Some stirred, luckily not dead and not badly wounded. He ordered them to help him find those that were still breathing and assess their injuries. If they could move, they were to help those who couldn't...and they were to start separating the dead from the living. Galen meant no disrespect, but they didn't need the shock.
He could hear the arrivals outside. There was shouting and movement, and he moved to attend to that. He almost felt shamed. So much carnage around him and not a tear or a scratch on his person. It didn't matter, he was going to meet them with dignity and a cool head. It was a pretty hard thing to do, considering his mind was still racing about Keller's condition. In fact, he'd actually dispensed someone to find out about her before he continued to move through the castle. Most of the injured were moved to the main hall. It was big enough to lay them all out if the tables were moved out of the way. It'd be easier to see who needed help if they were all visible...but there were just so many.
He felt exhausted physically and emotionally, but he'd push through it. He couldn't do anything before. He had to do something now.
