COLOSSEUM


Five years ago was the Quarter Quell. Forty-eight children were put into the bloodiest, most horrific Arena to date, and ever since outsmarting them all, the lone survivor Haymitch Abernathy has kept himself in a state of drunken stupor. Still, the games go on - everyone in the Capitol is eagerly awaiting the Reaping of the 55th Games.

Colosseum focuses on the life carried on around the Arena as well as within. Mentors and Victors fight to add one more to their number; Escorts and Stylists are charged with making this the best show yet. There is no Mockingjay to give the districts hope, to spark fear in the hearts of those who are part of President Snow's elite. The noose of the Capitol is tight around the necks of any would-be dissenters, including recent and mysterious deaths among those once thought to be key allies.

This game is based on Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games trilogy, and seeks to fill out the world of Panem through the eyes of those involved in presenting the Games.

Welcome to Fairview Heights, a sprawling apartment complex set just on the edge of the city of Charleston, South Carolina. The complex boasts many amities, an Olympic sized swimming pool, central heating and air, and friendly management among other things.


What the brochure doesn’t tell you is that the ground Fairview Heights was built on during the turn of the twentieth century was cursed. Strange happenings have been going on since it’s opening in 1901. Residents have died horrible deaths inside its walls. Children have disappeared, never to be found, and murders have occurred on the lush premises. The former residents haven’t left however; they are still there waiting for you to make yourself comfortable.


Have you noticed strange sounds during the late hours of the night? Maybe you’ve noticed that something you placed down wasn’t where you originally left it. That draft you feel isn’t because of the wind dear friend. That is only the beginning; things get worse, far worse.
