No Harry Potter games

All anyone needs to write a story is a ink and an idea.

The Writer does just that, but on a higher level. With a pen given to him by gods and ink coloured with the purest ores, he is able to write people into being, rather than characters. Over the past years he has begun to abuse this power, to toy with the world he's sunken away from. He has an odd sense of humour and a newfound love of playing with lives rather than chess pieces.

Over the past ten years, he has started re-writing characters that the world already knows and loves. The Big Bad Wolf, the Wicked Witch, forever-young Peter Pan and curious Alice. He changes them, slightly, but only enough for them to fly under the radar, and then sets them off into the human world to live among us and toy with our heads.

A community of these written-men has banded together, drawn to the energy emitted by the Writer. To them they are nothing more than human- but as their population grows, so does the suspicion that there's someone behind the scenes writing their lines.

The Fountain is a multi-fandom essences game. Any character who has a fictional backstory is available for play- books, movies, television, song essences, folklore, etc. We're a low-key game- that means the hammer doesn't drop if activity slows, judgement isn't passed on creative content, and nobody's going to hate you if you miss a night or two to catch up on sleep. All levels of RP experience are welcome!

The Fountain opens for game-wide plot in April. Applications submitted before that time will be reviewed and characters accepted for pre-play.
