Priscilla had been disappointed, at first, that her cousin Christopher's daughter was getting married on her dear Luc's birthday, but she would not have missed it. Rosalind had been in school with Luc and she was a friend of Narcissa, and Augustus was such an upstanding member of their society. It was high time that he got married, really! So it was that she arrived, at Abraxas' arm, shortly before the ceremony was set to begin. Her son and daughter-in-law had arrived earlier, as Narcissa was the matron of honour.
As her son's wedding was recent and still fresh to memory, Priscilla couldn't help but compare this one to it, and truly, she had nothing against simplicity, but Luc's wedding had been superior in every aspect, in her opinion, which, she admitted, might be slightly biased. The couple seemed very happy though, and it was what mattered most, wasn't it? Though of course, a true society wedding could have used more decoration in the chapel, and the colour theme was surprising - who would have chosen chocolate brown and cream white for a wedding, really?
Priscilla mingled with the guests, though there were so few of them that it didn't take long until she had talked to everyone. She congratulated her cousin Christopher and his wife on their daughter's wedding to such a good man, and she extended her best wishes to the happy couple. She was glad to be sitting at the same table as her sister, chatting with Ophelia all along. Afterwards she danced with her cousin as well as with Abraxas and Lucius, and Roman if he asked her. All in all she had a good time, though it did not compare to her dear Lucius and Narcissa's wedding, of course.
