Elise smiled as she looked up at Hermione with her bright, strikingly blue eyes. Taking Hermione's hand, she shook it in a very light and dainty fashion before withdrawing her hand. Briefly, she allowed her gaze to wander over the other girl before looking back to the table.
"'ermione?" she asked, having a bit of trouble with the H which ended up being effectively silent. She wanted to get her name right. "It should be fun. 'omework can be quite boring if done alone."
Her brown hair cascaded over Elise's shoulders. Lightly, she brushed a bit of it back behind her before taking out her quill, ink pot and books. Glancing around, she noticed that the class was mostly split into groups of Gryffindors and Slytherins. She and Hermione seemed to be the least unhappy about it, by far.
"It 'as been a change, for certain," Elise mused as she shifted slightly in her seat. "I like it so far. I am still getting used to it." She smiled shyly. "Most people have been quite nice." She left the rest unsaid.
"Zhat sounds wonderful," Elise responded. "Do you think zhat we should concentrate on Transfiguring living things into inanimate objects? Or vice versa? Anamagi?" she suggested. "Some else? Petrifaction, maybe?"
"I must warn you…" Elise chewed her bottom lip. "Transfiguration iz not my strongest subject."
