It would have been nice to have some holiday that had some semblance of fear and pain. So far, all she saw was giving thanks, exchanging presents, eating until they exploded...though not literally, and even getting candy! Candy! On a day where it was said the spirits came back to the world to commune with the living. Halloween had been a disappointment. She had truly hoped to see something she was used to, but she was no necromancer by any means. All her magic resided inside of her, and in darker arts. The costumes had been delightful though...
Feeling Adam tense, she knew he was getting uncomfortable. Good! Asked what she was doing, she purred quietly to him, cooing that she was playing with his hair as a gentle warmth radiated from her hands. She had done this so many times to her baby brother, it always seemed to put Kao to sleep. She didn't know if it would have that effect on Adam, but she knew it was relaxing at least. Danica missed having her twin's, or her mother's, fingers in her hair. Things she took for granted were definitely missed.
Deciding that she'd give her human a break, Danica pulled away finally and stood from the couch, giving Adam the space he so desired. Walking towards the fire place, the flames inside began to reach for her, almost like puppies before they settled in the fire place once more. At least the fire recognized her wherever she went.
Studying the stockings quietly, she didn't know why Adam put coal in the stocking. "I don't have gifts for everyone." She admitted, turning towards him rather serious.
