The Washington family had been setting up odd little decorations for quite sometime, much to her confusion, yet Danica never asked what they were all about. Why? Because asking questions led to answers that only made her ask more questions. And the humans of this world were quite sensitive when they felt their practices threatened. Instead, she endured the gaily decked halls of the White House, kept what she found strange and illogical to herself and watched as Adam went about the same rituals as his family. Currently seated on an overstuffed chair, her feet tucked beneath her as her shoes rested just below her, her gaze stayed intent on Adam Washington as he hung what looked like greatly exaggerated stockings over one of the fireplaces in the house. They were in a common area where she had come to see was used as a public meeting place for the family. Some song played from the radio about something called a reindeer and his overcoming of a red nose...and she didn't like the song almost instantly.
Shifting in her seat to keep the man in her line of sight, she continued to watch in perplexed wonderment at his actions, the room warm courtesy of her presence and the fire she had gently crackling before them. Admittedly, she was wearing more clothes than she normally would have worn had it been warmer, but the season had taken quite the turn in temperature, settling on snow outside, and cold air and frost! Danica hadn't even known it snowed in this world. A red turtle neck and a pair of jeans, which she had quickly found she adored jeans, was all she wore; a hat of red velvet and white lining sitting in her lap.
Beside her, on the table, sat what they called popcorn; she had learned these humans liked to pop their corn. How, she knew not yet, but she wasn't too worried out it. There also were a couple of needles and string sitting there. "Why do we have to strong popped corn again?"
Danica just wanted Adam to sit down so that she could snuggle up to him! Really, was that too much to ask?
