Now, there were certain things that Adrian considered himself to be. He was a good son and heir, no matter what his Father said. He was damn good at his job. And he was a loyal friend. He was not a saint, however. Far from it, in fact. Some times it was just two easy to manipulate a situation into being particularly beneficial to him with limited repercussions. Like now, for instance. Here he was, in Tibet, heading for the exact location his friends sister was neck-deep in artifact recon ... so to speak. Miles had all but demanded he keep an eye on Roslyn. It was his arse if Roslyn ended up hurt, so who was he to turn away a worried brother?
Adrian smirked at that, finally reaching Roslyn's location. Waving off the guide he'd paid to get him here, he continued on his own. He had his own reasons for border hoping and they really had nothing to do with making Miles happy. He felt slightly guilty that Miles always seemed willing to turn his mistrust to Clint when it was actually Adrian, himself, who enjoyed more than just Roslyn's company, but Clint tended to be an easy target and for the moment, Adrian wasn't going to draw any scrutiny toward himself. Not until something more definitive was in the works. At the moment, however, he was content to have permission to indulge.
It didn't take him long to find who he was looking for. Absorbed in what she was doing, Adrian didn't approach immediately. Instead he stopped several feet back and just watched her, a small amused smile on his face. It never ceased to entertain him that she'd chosen a career so close to his own, forever giving him a plausible excuse for continued contact.
