He felt much lighter, listening to the sound of her laughter. It always seemed to have that affect on him and he hoped to experience it more frequently than the odd times he'd managed to bring her in on one of his cases. He remained behind her as her attention shifted to the newcomers, his features relaxed into easy boredom to keep the suspicions from rising further.
Once they'd gone and Roslyn had turned back to him, his easy smile was back in place. "You and I have a very different idea of what's dangerous," he commented, his tone amused as the two of them moved away from where she'd been sitting when he'd arrived. "Besides, I truly have no interest in stealing the artifacts," he continued, purposefully leaving her out of the statement. Unlike the artifacts, he most certainly had a particular interest in stealing her away.
A drink was tempting. "If it's a local flavour," he answered, "I'll politely decline." When you had a severe allergy, you tended to be extremely cautious with anything unfamiliar and Adrian had absolutely no intention of ending up in a foreign hospital, muggle or magical. He did not make for a pleasant patient.
