Who: John Watson & Elizabeth Bennett What: Finally meeting someone who doesn't make him feel insane! When: Friday afternoon Where: The park Rating: Low
John still wasn't sure what was going on. His conversations with Jim and Sherlock had been interesting, but he wasn't convinced they'd shed much light on the matter. He hadn't met anyone else in this little village so far, but he hadn't really gone looking, either. He'd run into Jim and Sherlock had responded to his forum entry. Perhaps someone else would have more details than the three of them did.
The trouble was that he wasn't sure there was anyone else in the village. Oh, there were shopkeepers but they didn't answer very many questions and didn't seem very interested in their presence. He almost felt like they switched off at night, or perhaps when anyone left the building; they had little personality and he hadn't seen any of them leave, nor did they seem to live in the village. It was a silly thought, but
He decided to take a walk, hoping to clear his mind and possibly run into someone new. He pulled on his jacket and headed out, moving a little slowly thanks to the cane. It didn't take him long to make it to the park, though, and he began a slow circuit around it, without really noticing much of the landscape around him.
He was on his second lap when he noticed a figure up ahead. His interest perked and he picked up his pace a little as he approached the young woman. "Hello," he called in greeting as he drew close enough. "I hope you won't think me rude, but I haven't seen too many other people here." He smiled a little sheepishly and extended a hand to her. "My name's John Watson."
