"I am interested in anything you have to tell me," Elizabeth smiled. Now that she'd come to terms with the fact that there was a viable future past 1811, and real, tangible people in it--some of whom she had been able to meet, including John--she now wanted access to all of it. She wanted to know everything there was to know about the future. It was like a book she couldn't put down.
Upon arriving at the little tea shoppe in town, Elizabeth led the way to a small booth near a window. The shoppe was empty save an older woman behind the counter, who upon seeing the two enter came over to take their orders. The concept of sitting down and ordering a drink from someone was something new to Elizabeth, and she found it rather fun and convenient. "May I have black tea with a little milk added, please?" Elizabeth asked the old woman, and then looked to John.
