Wait, what? See, this isn't possible. Not by any stretch of the imagination is this possible. For lots of reasons. Reasons I'm not going to get into because of more reasons.

Does anyone have a clear explanation for all this? Because I'd love one right now.

No one is completely sure how or why we're here. The popular theory is that it's a pocket dimension.

Hi, I'm Alex.

Pocket dimensions. Okay. I'll let that stew. Pocket dimensions where people stumble in from all kinds of places, right? Because something that breaks the reality barrier like this, as in alternate universes and realities to create its own little bubbles means that sky's the limit for where someone might be drawn from. And when.

Stewing. Yup. I'm Gwen, and thank you for giving me a little more to think on. I'm just a bit... overwhelmed by the concept right now. Palm trees and this many flashing lights isn't really my usual scene.

Believe me Gwen, I understand. All of this would have seemed insane to me before. But I've been here since October.

And this phone says it is, in fact, February here. That's definitely not something to sniff at.

Where did you come in from, if you don't mind my asking?

That's a complicated answer because I've gone home a few times.

Seriously? Did you remember anything about all this when you were back home? What about when you came back? Did past memories from your time here accumulate, or was it new every time?

And I realize I'm asking a lot of questions and they could all be really rude. Sorry, I'm just curious. Answer only if you want to, I just find the concept amazing: that someone could come and go like that.

Not at home. But I did when I came back. I remembered everything again.

Has this sort of thing happened to some of the others drawn here? Were the results, no memories at home but coming back upon return, universal?

Yes. So far that's how it seems.

Has anyone tried cataloging all this? You know, try to find a pattern to it?

Yes, but there doesn't really seem to be one. It's all pretty random.

Almost everything as complicated like this appears random until all the data is collected and looked at with an objective eye. Not that it's not possible it's random, but I'd rather know that for certain.

Well you're welcome to do another survey.

It's worth trying. Even if it proves nothing, then we at least know, right?

There have been some done in the past, but I don't know the results of them.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll see what digging I can do. Like I say, it might prove nothing, but it's something to try. It's not like I'm some big superhero that can throw cars at bad guys and call it good.

It was someone named Abbie, but I don't think she's here anymore.

Even if she's not here any more, someone might remember something, or there might be notes hanging around. Even if it's a digital record, it's a place to start. Thanks again for the lead.
