Albus had obviously been drinking the night before, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Shaylyn knew he had beer left over and he usually drank beer while playing with his new pool table, which he was extremely excited over. So there was no problem at first. You give Albus beer and he was fantastic. He got to be a happy drunk. Hell there were times where he'd show up at Shaylyn's or she show up at his flat and he was completely shitfaced but they still had a brilliant time. With beer he wanted to dance. He was loving to Shaylyn. He was an all around happy drunk. So what was the difference that led to what happened last night?
Well Albus was on a roll with having his good time by himself. Shaylyn was off visiting her parents so there was no harm in anything anyway. He was shooting his pool and dancing to some music but when he went to get another beer, he seen they were gone. He also had needed another pack of fags. So he went to the store and they were out of the beer he drank, weren't getting a new shipment in until the following Monday and since he had promised Shaylyn he'd watch his drinking? He knew there was no way in Hell she would okay him to continue drinking on Monday. So he opted for a fifth of Bells whiskey and that was his downfall. Beer he was fun loving, but if you gave him whiskey, Albus wasn't nice anymore. In fact he got really... really mean. Which was pretty much what happened, he got mean. He was threatening. Just, unlike the night with Nott, he hadn't intended to go and find the one who arsed him the wrong way, that one being Corrie and later Shaylyn, and beat the shit out of them.
Now that didn't go to say he didn't do much. When Shaylyn arrived and kicked him out of the bedroom, he needed his jacket, his jacket was in the bedroom... which was locked. Now he could have left without it but in his mind? It was a sin to even suggest such. So to make a long story short, he punched the door and the wood broke, it was enough to get Shaylyn's attention to unlock it and he came in, grabbing his jacket and as promised over their talking on the net, he grabbed his drink and walked out to his car and peeled out of the driveway.
What happened after that, Albus couldn't really say. LUCKILY he didn't wreck his car, kill himself or kill someone else. Lucky enough, he didn't end up back in jail. He did black out though and when he woke up, sun was burning into his eyes which caused a great deal of discomfort and forced him to shield his face for a few minutes from the outside light. Finally, he sat up in the car, a hangover was evident. He even burped something foul to show that his body still disagreed with him for being poisoned. Squinting, he looked around his surroundings which were a long strip of road, nothing around. He had gotten out of his car and circled it, checking for any damages, there was none. He got back in and started it up to see he had to have drove a good distance, his gauge was nearing empty on gas. So, after clearing his throat, he started the car and began driving the opposite way he had seemed to be going, luckily enough though, he knew where he was after coming across a familiar gas station where he stopped, filled his car and used their bathroom, also making purchases of muggle pain killers and a large bottle of water, it was also there he seen that it wasn't in the morning. It was after five in the afternoon. He sat back in the car and tried to find his phone, but he didn't have it on him. Did he even bring it with him? He didn't know. After sitting there for a few more minutes, he made his way back to the house.
It was a little after six when he pulled into the driveway and he didn't get out of the car right away. He just sat there, trying to gather his thoughts or more importantly, his memories. Did he remember punching the bedroom door? Honestly no. He remembered saying he was going to leave and that was pretty much it. He didn't remember getting angry, he didn't remember downing the rest of the fifth of Bells all by himself. He didn't remember heading out to the middle of nowhere or even pulling off to sleep, he was LUCKY that he did so, though. Healing the muggle way from being that injured would have been a bitch.
Finally though, he remembered that she was arsed with him so it was better to not come in with a big announcing presence. He just got out of the car and simply made he way into the house. He tossed his keys in the key bowl on the fireplace mantel and pulled off his coat, pausing to look up and see Shaylyn. "Hey." He said in an unenthusiastic voice. Not because he wasn't happy to see her, hell if he knew they weren't mad at each other, or she wasn't mad at him, he'd run up and hug and kiss her. He truly did love her to death. But because he felt like hell. He looked like hell. He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and see how pale he looked, it was nothing serious mind you, just one bad hangover that left him without color and a bit clammy. Something he would sleep off over the next couple of days.
He moved from the living room and into the kitchen where he opened the fridge, the mere look of food made him sick so he quickly moved passed it to grab a bottled water that was cold and he came back in the living room, twisting the top off.
"Have you seen my phone?" He asked, pausing to chug some water down. Thank god he wasn't a puker. He felt like he was going to get sick and turn into the exorcist and if he did puke, he probably would have. But luckily, he pretty much had a cast iron stomach as long as he didn't get food poisoned. It was also good that he was hard to make vomit because alcohol dehydrated you and as any idiot could tell the last thing he needed was to puke the water up that he needed to hydrate himself. When he pulled the bottle down from his lips and began turning the top on once more, Albus cleared his throat. "I can't find it anywhere."
