Who: Romilda and Ginny
What: Ice cream.
When: Monday late afternoon/evening.
Where: Romi's room in Gaunt Tower.
Warnings: TBA
It was a little dangerous, asking a servant over for ice cream. But Romilda had just gotten the care package from her mother that morning, the frozen treat in its specially charmed container, and she was in the mood to share it with someone who needed it. Everyone had been a little down these days, it seemed; something about someone dying in one of the classes above hers, and then someone's father dying, too. But she wasn't about to invite Goyle over for ice cream.
Anyway, the servant girl had seemed perfectly friendly, though she probably needed the pick-me-up better than anyone. From what Romilda had seen, she did a fairly good job of holding her own, though, and that was the kind of person Romilda especially liked. She was all for a good pity party, so long as they only indulged self-pity so far, just enough to cheer themselves up. Besides, her roommate, a girl about her age, was rather boring, and they hadn't gotten along since Romilda had brought up the topic of having boys around. Which had turned out to be a moot point, since there was some weird charm on the steps of the dormitory to keep boys out, but they still hadn't seen eye to eye since.
Thankfully, said roommate was currently in the library, so the room was empty when Romilda went down to meet Ginny. She was dressed in her favorite comfortable blue sweatpants and a tee-shirt, wearing slippers on her feet (it was ice cream night, after all), and she leaned against the wall beside the portrait hole as she waited, blowing on her fingernails. After finishing her homework, she'd rewarded herself by painting them in rainbow colors (red, yellow, green, blue, and purple, from thumb to pinky) and they still hadn't quite dried.
