Okay, so she knew it was stupid. She knew it. Stranger danger. The kind her mother had warned her about. And accepting ice cream from her. Which Ginny figured was probably just as bad as candy though she'd only been specifically warned about the latter. Except, Ginny had seen Romilda Vane around. She liked to keep at least a vague knowledge of the students. It helped for when someone got newly assigned or if she had to help someone out in another way. Know the enemy. And quite frankly, she couldn't tell where Romilda's loyalties lie. Aside from with herself.
From an outsider's perspective the girl didn't seem terribly dangerous and if Ginny could remember the last time she had ice cream she'd be a much happier person. As it was, she couldn't and so she climbed her way to Gaunt Tower, cursing the existence of stairs with each one she stepped on. It had taken loads longer than she'd thought it would and she wasn't looking very well by the time she'd reached the top. All clammy and out of breath, muscles aching. She leaned against the wall for support and let her eyes gaze around for the student. When she spotted her, she gave her a small nod of acknowledgment, pretty sure she wouldn't be able to form words just yet.
