WHO: Emma and Eleanor
WHEN: Tuesday afternoon, before Charms class
WHERE: Charms classroom
WHAT: A run-in
RATING: PG+ maybe for language (not Emma's)
STATUS: Complete.
At least it wasn't Wednesday, Emma thought, because Wednesdays her one class was first thing in the morning after breakfast, and she hated it. Charms, at least, was in the afternoon, far enough after lunch that she had relaxed and settled and was all ready by the time she stepped into the Charms classroom. She wasn't a huge fan of Charms class, though Professor Flitwick wasn't awful. Divination was, of course, her favorite subject, and if her mother hadn't griped about it, she would have been just fine taking only Divination for her final two years.
Because she had nothing beforehand, Emma arrived at class early and waited just outside the classroom. She leaned against the wall and opened her notebook, doodling flowers and hearts along the margins around her last week's Charms notes. She glanced up when she heard someone coming, and she rolled her eyes when she realized who it was: Eleanor Branstone, that little brat of a girl in Hufflepuff. How Maira could stand living with her, Emma would never know.
"You know," Emma said loudly. "Not many people can pull off wearing the colour yellow." And Eleanor was certainly not one of them.
