WHO Theodore & Tracey
WHERE Theo's flat
WHEN Very early morning, 28 July 2005
WHY Theo's a girl D:
RATING PG-13 max
STATUS Threaded
There weren't really words available in Theodore's vast vocabulary to describe the morning he'd had, but he was trying to find a few that would do a reasonable job before Tracey came over, though his anger at her attitude was making it difficult. No, it wasn't just her attitude, it was what she's said, as well. She was still married, wasn't she? And even if she wasn't, she was perhaps a day or two separated from her husband, and already another man was in her bed. With already well-frayed nerves, so simple a 'transgression' as this set off Theodore's frequently-repressed critical nature, and his once-eternal veneer of politeness cracked a bit. He hoped she hadn't told Zabini. The last thing he had the time or patience for was anyone thinking he was jealous. Moral judgement didn't quite translate in this day and age, no matter how conservative they all knew him to be, and he would have been better holding his -- well -- quill. Too late, now.
He heard a rattle at the floo and stood beside it nervously, still in his dressing robe and pyjamas, and still without a decision on how to frame his problem. I've woken up and I'm having hallucinations that I'm a woman seemed particularly inelegant, and he didn't think quickly enough to manage anything but "hello" when Tracey finally stepped into the room.
