WHO: Luna Lovegood and Nate Summerby
WHEN: Friday, 27th May, mid-morning
WHERE: The Summer Bee
WHAT: Nate offered to do a reading for Luna
As limiting as it was, Luna usually stuck to wizarding areas. That or places where very few Muggles passed through, like the forests or the fields or secluded beaches that Muggles couldn't access or something. It wasn't for fear of them or Muggle areas, but because she had been raised so entirely in the wizarding world, she knew so little about Muggles that it seemed more practical to stay around wizards. She could still use her wand, still practice magic and use the lingo she'd grown up using. She was also self-aware enough to realise that she was a perfect example of someone that might accidentally break the Statute of Secrecy.
So she had taken some care today for venturing out to Nate's shop. Luna owned one pair of jeans, a pair that her father had gifted her one Christmas years ago but they fortunately still fit. They were lovely and flared, with a flowery insert at the calf to further widen the flare. She hadn't expected them to be quite so tight around her waist, and she was used to more comfortable clothing, but she knew that Muggles wore jeans, and she should fit in quite well. She also wore a turquoise-and-white dotted shirt with a yellow cardigan, unable to entirely avoid wearing clashing colours because it seemed that she only owned those types of clothes. A check in the mirror made her confident that it seemed 'normal' enough.
She made her way down the street where she knew the shop to be, and stood outside the front for a moment to watch the Muggle vehicles traverse the area marked with white lines and yellow lines curiously. These were 'cars' and this was a 'road', but what were the tall poles with changing lights called? How were they ordering the 'cars' to stop and start like that? Making a mental note to ask someone, perhaps Dean would know, she turned to enter the shop.
