Hello, all:

43 year old female, married, with two cats, seeks internet friends for the exchange of fun, thoughtful, and strange posts. She is a freelance comic book colorist by trade and a Wiccan by religious preference, although she is open to Friending and being Friended by people of all walks of life and all religious orientations. Hobbies include writing and reading fanfiction (primarily slash) and reading nonfiction and the occasional Steven King novel; her heavy workload doesn't leave her time for much else, except blogging, which she seems to do quite a bit of. She is currently working on a novel which started out as a NaNoWriMo project, and is taking part in Project 365. Every couple of weeks she takes part in an AD&D game, and one of her favorite online comics is The Order of the Stick.

She has been in a bad relationship with another blogging site and is considering a divorce, so please, be gentle.

EDITED TO ADD: You'll find more detailed information about who I am and what you can expect from my blog on my profile page:

Hiya all.

"Filmsy" here!, I have joined IJ, to suppliment my Livejournal. :) And of course, new blogging community, well I am looking for some new SINCERE friends on here. People who really have some mutual interests, open minds, and want to actually discuss and talk!

I am 28, female, from a fishing town in Southwest England. I am at university doing postgraduate teacher training. I also teach theatre at a local college, run a community theatre group, and have about 10 million interests - here are some:

LARP, theatre, performing arts, film making, sci fi, fantasy, anticapitalism, martial arts, fancy dress and costuming, nature, photography, the enviroment, hippies and being alterantive, archery, metaphysics, paganism, veggie gardening, being silly, elves, otherkin, paganism, Jedi realism, quantum physics, celtic and medieval music, my laptop Betsy, book writing (I have a couple of things on lulu.com), honour, non-conformity blogging (am addicted to Livejournal, but in light of recent things, am going to be here on IJ as well), ....

My IJ is brand new (just came over today) but I will be posting daily, the same as I do on my LJ and have been sHiince 2003! :)

Theres pics and things on my userinfo, and please let me know if you are interested in addification!
I am interested in new friends regardless of age/gender/sexual preference/species/race/nationality/religion!.

NOTE
I am pretty open minded but am not interested in sex/shopping/modern fashion/being consumerist/racism, so if those are primary interests of yours we probably wont get on too well.

New Person

Wow, I'm awful at this stuff. So... 'sup, I'm Salina, obsessive geek and midwestern art student. I'm 21 and going to school in South Dakota with the hope that one day I can live off being an artist.

I write--fiction, fanfiction, and amazingly awful poetry--when I have the motivation, I paint and draw a lot, and when I take the time to sit still I love video games, cartoons, and some reality tv. 75% of the time I also have music playing (I hate silence). I collect toys and dolls too, which leads me to believe I might very well be a creepy kid at heart.

When I really like something I become obsessive about it. For instance, when I first got Persona 3 that shit ate up my life. I spammed the soundtrack, flipped through the art book obsessively, and every time a friend came over I was like, "You have to try this gaaaaame! 8D" Right now I'm hooked on shoujo manga and Persona 4 trailers.

Current Addictions: Persona 3 (still), Tamora Pierce books, Dir en grey, Nana, roleplaying, Pokemon, shoujo manga, fashion... XDDD

Also, I have a warped sense of humor. Like... "WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?" warped. I like making friends, but friends who don't take everything seriously. Life's too long to be serious business.

Hello!

Hi, I am Kathelyne and I am 22 years old.
My main interests lie in crafts and history, I love living history/re-enactment etc, and currently do Florence 1480, which I am enjoying very much so far!
I love to sew, bead, embroider, make jewelry, paint, draw, scrap book, read, make candles, and a whole heap of stuff! I am the sort of person with many started projects, and many hobbies I love but don’t get to spend much time on! Currently my main hobby is sewing, as I need a whole new Italian 1480 wardrobe by June! Once that’s done I want to finish a few embroidery projects that I have started, knowing full well I need to put my sewing before my embroidery!

I have almost graduated from university, I’m majoring in archaeology. Right now I am excited about some research I am doing as I get to do some experimental archaeology involving shooting stuff. I graduate mid year, so this is my last semester. Then I have six months off uni, and at the beginning of next year I start honours (hopefully!)(in Australia we start school/uni etc at the begining of the year for those who don't know)

I like fantasy and sci-fi, so LOTR, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Otherland by Tad Williams, Robin Hobb’s books (especially the assassin series), Doctor Who. I have met all the Hobbits from the LOTR films when I lived in Wellington, and seen a few sets and so on. Mmmm, my sister still has Orlando Bloom’s spit on a pen- or at least she never washed it! I also love Enid Blyton, and a whole heap of literature. One of my favorite places online is The Project Gutenberg, as they have a lot of stuff I love, and a lot of stuff I know I will love but have never read.

I am looking for friends who preferably have similar interests, or who just think we might get along or something.

I'm Sarah. I'm 17, live in Atlantic Canada and I love music. I'll listen to pretty much anything except country. My favorite bands/artists are Matthew Good, Matthew Good Band, Radiohead, The Stills, Metric, Pilate, Alexisonfire, The Libertines, Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton, Muse, and lately Margot & The Nuclear So And So's. There's more that that but I can't remember it at the moment. I also have a huge CD collection (230)

I like making graphics and playing guitar. I'm kinda odd and 'out of touch with reality'. I like to read and watch TV.

I'm mostly looking for people to read who are interested in some of the same stuff as I am, If we're interested in any of the same things, then add me. (check out my userinfo for more interests)

Please leave a comment on my f/o post, thanks! (I usually don't add people if they can't be bothered to leave me a comment somewhere saying they're adding me..)

I think this is my second post here.. but I don't remember the first one so here goes.

Hey there. I'm a 20-year old college student. I'm originally from Texas, going to school in Iowa, and currently residing in Vienna, Austria for a year on study abroad.

I like to draw and paint, listen to music (I have a last.fm account if you want to know specifics), and read comics and manga/manwha. My current favorite manga is Naruto, and I sporadically follow the D. Gray Man, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, and Hellsing fandoms. I enjoy reading fantasy-type novels (my favorite authors are David Eddings and Neil Gaiman.) I don't currently own a television, but I've recently become addicted to the show Torchwood through a friend of mine who showed me some DVDs. My political leanings are definitely leftward, and I enjoy having discussions about related issues with people regardless of whether they agree with me. For some more things that I like, check out my profile.

I'm mostly looking for interesting people who have some things in common with me. My journal's primarily friends-locked (mostly because I'm paranoid about privacy and so on) so if you think I seem like the kind of person you'd like please leave a comment here or at my journal. Please be aware that one of my major pet peeves is people who don't fill out their profiles, and especially people who don't fill out their interests... looking at someone's interests is the easiest way for me to find out what kinds of things we have in common, and so if your profile is empty and there's nothing in your journal for me to look at I will probably not add you back.

A little bit about me

My name's Jen and I'm 20 years old. I hail from a small town in Connecticut and am looking for people with similar dorktastic interests to chat with. Whether you want to simply comment on an entry once in awhile or get to know me lots better, its all good. Mostly I post from the games I found online, interesting/weird news and random events in my life. I'm hoping to add more creative things to my journal so this isn't the end all.

My interests include books (from Asimov to children's literature), computer games (mostly casual such as Diner Dash or Miss Managment), writing (original, but thinking about writing a fanfic), drawing (may post my bad art when my scanner works), cartoons/comics (mostly those from Japan, but I'm expanding my tastes as I type)and lots more things I don't feel like listing. I also have a big interest in biology, which I'm going to major in (halfway there!).

I'm pretty easy going and a bit of a joker. Feel free to just add me and comment and I'll respond.
