Hi, I'm Laura, I'm twenty and live in England.

I use this journal to post fanfiction and generally write about things that are going on in my life, however dull they may be to others. I friends-lock the personal stuff in my journal, though, so only fanfiction is generally viewable by everyone - for someone who posts on an internet journal, I can be quite private, too.

Fanfiction wise, I write for the Monkey Island games, Pirates of Dark Water, Animals of Farthing Wood, Battle Royale - the majority of what I write does seem to come from obscure fandoms, so I don't blame anyone for not being familiar with any of those names (except Battle Royale, I imagine).

My main passion, when it comes to studying, is foreign languages. I've always loved Spanish but am currently studying Russian in my spare time - I also want to learn Latin!

Some other random interests -

- I regularly play computer games but mostly have stuck to older games that I've been in love, or slightly obsessed with, since I was a kid. The games I play the most are - the Monkey Island series (obsessed with it!), Sam and Max, Simon the Sorcerer, the Creatures series, Unreal, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, Tomb Raider, and the Resident Evil games.
- I'm a HUGE fan of horror films. I appreciate the classic, well-made horror film but I also go right down and appreciate the poorly-made laugh-inducing gore fests. Sometimes, though, I just like strange films for the sake of their strangeness.
- I also really like foreign cinema. My favourite non-English film is, Time of the Gypsies.
- My favourite TV shows are/were before they were cancelled: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, America's Next Top Model, Futurama, American Dad, Spawn, Bottom, The Young Ones and Scrubs.

ANYTHING ELSE; I'm a junior in college, majoring in business administration concentrating in management and minoring in spanish. Friends consume my life outside of classes and school work. Life gets crazy, but I always come back to my journal. I DO read your entries even if I don't comment...I just sometimes I just don't have anything to say.

Role Models: Criss Angel -because ever since being introduced to him I have learned to overcome anything in life just by how he has shown he can overcome everything.

Sasha Cohen and Tim Goebel-my two favorite figure skaters and it was because of them I ever wanted to get into skating.
