My name is Jessica, aka Kitten. I'm 18 and a native Floridian. I'm new to Insanejournal and am looking for new friends.

I really like anime and manga. Some of my favorites include Blood+, Saiyuki, Model, Akuma no Ororon, Hellsing, Trigun, Tokyo Mew Mew, BSSM, Pokemon, Hunter x Hunter, Bastard!!, and many more. Just ask and I'll answer.

Also I like reading. My favorites are the Vampire Chronicals by Anne Rice, Anita Blake series by Laurel K Hamilton, Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, Phantom by Susan Kay, and the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling.

I'm fond of movies. My current obsessions are TMNT, Transformers, and Pirates of the Carribean. I also like Labyrinth, V for Vendetta, and much more. Ask and I'll answer.

Hello, all. =)

My name is Melissa, but I generally respond better to "Mellybean" or "Melly." I'm a 22-year-old call answer agent (it's better than it sounds) and am one of the many fleeing from, and affected by the LJ Boldthrough debacle. I greatly dislike being told what to do, read, write, say, think.

I spend most (read: all) of my free time reading or on the internet, breaking only to watch Supernatural, House, or Hell's Kitchen. Reality, I find, is very boring, so I stick to the infinitely more interesting (and way better cast) ones that other people have created. Basically, Fandom > Life.

Fan fiction is something that has been very dear to me since I stumbled across it in 2003, and as such, I write and read a lot of it. I try not to limit myself in what I write, so I may turn out slash, femslash, het, or gen at any given time. I'm most at ease in the Harry Potter and Supernatural fandoms, but House, CSI, Criminal Minds and Queer as Folk can easily tempt me out of my comfort zone. Much of what I write is sexual or otherwise mature in nature, so I don't have many friends that are below the legal age of consent in their respective regions. This isn't because I think they're below my notice, but because I just don't have much to offer them.

Aside from my fangirl-ish duties, I enjoy cooking, listening to music, over-punctuating, spoiling my three beautiful pets, organising obsessively, being sarcastic and talking. That last one is usually combined with the second-to-last. When posting about RL, I tend to pick the most ridiculously random things to talk about. These things include, but are not limited to: my underwear drawer, yoghurt, people I see on the train and why I think the cupboard under my sink is haunted.

There are not nearly so many things that I dislike, but chat speak is one of them. It burns my eyes, and I never use it. Unless FTW/FTL counts, which it probably does, making me a bold-faced liar. In addition to that, I despise low-rise jeans, authority, the sound of a pencil scratching over paper, yellow bell peppers and my mother. If you adore any of these things--especially my mother--you should turn away now.

I look forward to meeting plenty of new people here on IJ, and hope that this post hasn't scared anyone away. I'm usually a very polite, caring, considerate, Hufflepuff person, but certain events bring out the Slytherin in all of us.

And I take back what I said--you can stay, even if you do like my mother.
