Bobby didn't even move to try and wrestle Jubilee away from the employees when she began to talk about him and mutant powers. He was far too horrified, leaving him frozen in his metaphorical tracks. Luckily Josh went to pull her away, but that didn't help Bobby's case at all. It was obvious that he very easily could be a mutant when he was friends with someone golden like Josh. Not to mention that "Jubes" sounded an awful lot like something else and ... man. The girl behind the counter was kind of cute in a skater chick kind of way. Heaving a sigh when Jubilee finally got pulled away, Bobby made eye contact with the employee and offered a sheepish smile and wave. Maybe he should say something, but it could just screw his chances up further.
"You're like. Wow. I am never taking you to a zoo. I'd find you in the freaking gorilla cage," Bobby said to Jubilee, not as angry in voice as he looked. He was more in disbelief. "Here, Josh." Bobby nodded back toward the skateboard decks. "Let's find you something. Stick with Element, they're pretty good. A lot of other brands like Zero and Blind won't really be your style." Unless Josh had a secret punk rock emo side to him. "Maybe we can find Jubes' a skateboard, too." Perhaps that task would give her something to do and get her more enthused about hanging with Josh and Bobby.
