Who: Kevin and Cessily (again!)
When: Friday evening.
Where: The garage, in Kevin's special corner.
What: Er, reconciliation? Time will tell!
Kevin was in a weird mood as he made his way to the garage, keeping his head lowered as he passed a couple of his fellow students -- he was still self-conscious about his bruised face. He'd written a lot to Cessily in his e-mails that he'd barely shared with anyone ever -- Rogue knew the most about him, of course, but even with her he didn't usually talk about his childhood, the way things had used to be before his mother had died and everything had started to go downhill. Maybe it was the pain meds he'd got from Dr. Grey messing with his head, although he was fairly sure they weren't actually supposed to make him loopy. Or maybe it was just Cessily striking a sensitive spot with her words. Either way, he'd found that he really wanted to defend himself, to show her that he wasn't always as terrible as everybody here thought he was. And now, apparently, she wanted to talk.
He slipped into the quiet garage; it was a surprise Remy wasn't here, really, or Mr. Summers, but Kevin wasn't going to question it. This was the one place in the school he felt almost entirely comfortable, since few people ever came in here and those who did were people he generally sort of almost liked. Plus, there was his little workbench in the corner, which was his domain, the place where he made the rules. Speaking with Cessily here was a good move, he thought.
He was rather startled to find that Cessily was there waiting for him, and he jammed his gloved hands into his pockets, suddenly unsure what to say. "...Hi," was what he decided on, and nothing more. Lame, but she was the one who'd asked to talk -- let her do the talking. He stayed a safe distance away from her, watching her warily.
