Bobby's eyes met Tabitha's in time for her non-verbal, sarcastic thanks. He looked away, despondant face not changing. Even if Frost hadn't interrupted their primative instant messaging, Bobby may still have worn this face. It felt like it was now up to him to decide whether or not he should date Tabitha with the knowledge he had learned. It meant he had to know for certain, which he didn't, whether his feelings for Tabitha were genuine or if they were just because they were close friends. If he really lusted for her, wouldn't he allow himself to look her over more than he did. It was a foreign thing for him to do to a casual friend this far out in their friendship, yet wasn't that what a boy did when he loved a girl?
There was nothing but confusion in his head about the matter, let alone embarrassment. The worst thing of it all now was that both of them had to sit there in their misery until class was over, debating their next words before they finally had the chance to speak to each other again. If Tabitha would even give him this chance now.
