who: Sofia and Alison; Alex and Bobby
when: Monday; lunch time
where: Cafeteria
what: The girls are gossiping about the men in the school and sizing them up, blissfully unaware that at the table across from them ... the exact same thing is happening.

Sofia Mantega knew her status was official. After prom the whole school could pretty much tell that she and Julian Keller were an item. Sofia loved Julian and found him gorgeous. When her eyes wandered to the other boys in the cafeteria, it wasn't because she had fallen out of love with him or because she was bored with her relationship. Sofia was simply a creative artist with too much energy! Was it wrong to appreciate the other works of art around the school? Of course, not that Julian should complain much. There were only so many boys that Sofia was pretty sure she would even consider dating. If she wasn't already dating someone. Which she was.

Sipping her near empty soda out of a can with a straw and a suck of loud air, Sofia considered the tables around them. She had sat down to bother Alison, her parter in glitter and singing and dancing crime. "Ali, these boys." Sofia gestured to no one in particular in the room. "What do you think of them? You do not have a boyfriend, yes? We need to find you one. An attractive boy who is available and lots of fun! What about that table there? ...you like boys, yes?"

Alison was a girl after her own heart. Alison liked boys, yes. Alison adored her self, just as much. But she usually tended to scare off boys. She didn't mean to. She just was a happy person and people like KEVIN FORD didn't want to be her friend and he was a boy. And Bobby was cool, he was a boy, but like boys were so gross sometimes and Alison was such a girl and she fully believed in that sugar spice everything nice bit that girls were made of. She was definitely not made of snails and puppy dog tails -- who would make a boy out of puppy tails! But that didn't stop Alison from being omgtotallyexcited for Sofia and Julian -- that meant it was her turn. If someone like Sofia who was like the coolest girl ever, could get a boyfriend like meanie head Julian, Alison could get one. And a less mean one.

She was mimicking Sofia's drinking, soda with a straw and tilted her head to look down to where Sofia was pointing. "Oooooh." Alison said, while still trying to drink, which in turn created bubbles into her soda can. It was loud and she promptly put the can down like she wasn't the accomplice in making loud noises with her soda. "Totally cute! I totally like boys. I mean, i try to be super nice but boys are all into thos mean girls, or like the ones that are like 'ew girly things' what is wrong with girly things? WHATEVER. I'm a girl, I like being a girl, I like pink.." Alison said matter of factly as she reached cautiously for the soda again with her perfectly painted pink finger nails holding the straw in place as she sipped.

Her attention went to another table, and she quickly slammed the soda back down on the table. "Oooooh, Fifi! Loooooook." Alison said in a singsongy voice. "What about him? He's totally got muscles. Hooooot! Right? I could date him could you see it?" Alison straightened up in her seat, tossing her hair over her shoulder posing next to .. well an empty space beside her which she was nonverbally asking Sofia to imagine said boy there.

Bobby had been sipping on a Capri Sun and rocking on the back legs of his chair at the lunch table he was sharing with Alex when he noticed a high pitched noise coming from the table across from them in the cafeteria. Oh, it wasn't a siren or a flock of cats or anything. It was just two of the more hyper active girls in the school having a conversation. Bobby considered. He liked Sofia and Alison and they were both pretty hot, but at the same time they were a bit much. Bobby knew he could hold his own against them, but did he want to have a girl that he'd constantly have to play keep-ups with? If only relationships just fell into your lap like on television or in video games as a reward for unlocking an achievement or killing enough terrorists?

Yes, Bobby Drake was lamenting his singledom. Even Alex seemed to be having better luck with women these days and it was getting positively discouraging to Bobby. Leaning over on his chair, still with the two front legs of his seat off the ground, Bobby nudged Alex. "What do you think those two are talking about?" Bobby considered, sipping idly at the Capri Sun. Sofia and Alison were still talking. "...which one's hotter?"

Alex was mid-bite of his microwaved pb&j when Bobby started asking his questions. Alex half the time didn't care what others talking about because he had done himself a service not to care. It was easier that way. When he started butting his nose into people's business they started kidnapping things that belonged to his roommate. The only time he wanted to know what was up was when it involved Regan. That bitch kept messing up his life even after they broke up, that stupid little bi--

"I haven't the slightest." Alex mumbled his mouth full of food, pushing the rest of the sandwich into mouth, a bit of the warm jelly sliding down the corner of his mouth. Instead of using a napkin, like a normal person, Alex used the side of his hand to wipe it, then promptly licked it off of his hand. He chewed, contemplated, and stared at the two girls in question. Sofia and Alison. They were like himself and Bobby, but girls and times ten thousand. It was kind of creepy, but Alex would not turn down the inevitable question of who was hotter.

Adjusting himself in his seat to face Bobby, he situated himself head on, as if they were about to have the most serious conversation in the world. "Okay. That's a loaded question. Because You have Sofia. Rockin' the foreign chick vibe, and then there is Alison, smoking hot blonde. Hot is a relative term, you have to specify." Alex answered simply, as if trying to teach Bobby a lesson in the finer mechanics of rating hotness. As Alex reached for the other half of his sandwich he paused, giving Bobby a serious look.

"Don't tell Lorna I said that."

Sofia kicked her legs, considering the plethora of boys out there amidst the sea of baseball caps, popped collars, and trenchcoats. They sure had an eclectic bunch of students at Xavier's and that simply meant more options for Alison depending on what her kinks were! Sofia would have to get to the bottom of it fast. She got it, Alison, you liked pink! The thing was she couldn't work with that unless one of the boys enjoyed rocking the pink and Sofia was pretty sure that if they did then they wouldn't be into Alison anyway. "Yes, boys are stupid and that is why they like mean girls and stupid girls. But we are not either! Clearly!" Suddenly this conversation now involved Sofia and not just Alison in the hunt for a hot man.

Sofia squinted into the crowd, looking for the aforementioned boy with the musc - "DIOS MIO!" Sofia gasped, taking in the unfamiliar site of the returning Piotr Rasputin. "Him, yes? Look at him! He is adorable and hunky at the same time! His arms are so big! They are like three of you!" Sofia couldn't get over how big the returning student was, yet still had a super sweet face. "He seems very nice! You should befriend him! Shall I talk to him for you? Or...! Or, shall we keep looking? Hmm." Sofia scanned the room for more potential suitors. "Yes, we need to have options just in case. "There is ... Jono! He is very silly but that is what makes him so fun! He likes music too, yes?"
