Who: Stephen & Theo
When: September 14, evening
Where: Inside their heads via the Astral
What: A conversation
Warning: After two initial set up posts, this will be a dialogue-only conversation
The days were rough for Stephen, but the nights were no better. Neuropathic pain woke him often and prevented him from truly resting. He was making it through days, somehow, but the longer this dragged on, the less he was certain that he'd recover. Perhaps it was just his depression flaring up again, aggravated by the constant pain and the secondary and tertiary effects of his neuropathy. Or maybe, everything was just wearing him down, each difficulty another drop of water eroding the stone that was him away just a little bit more.
He'd had every intention of testing Theo's newly-discovered ability to project his thoughts via the Astral, but he'd dozed off instead, snatching a bit of precious sleep before the next bout of pain hit and he found himself staring at the bottom of the bunk above him with the edge of the meagre blanket in his mouth to muffle any cries. Tonight, though, they'd have that conversation.
While the rest of the cabin's population milled about doing their usual activities before lights out, Stephen settled into his bunk with his back turned to the room. He did his best to calm his thoughts and slip into a meditative state, but focused his attention inward to the Ajna Chakra, sending his thoughts out towards the cabin where Group B resided. Unlike his Astral Form, the thoughtform say nothing of the environment around it. It was focused on reaching one person and one person alone.
It found Theo sitting on his bed and stopped before Theos face. It tapped Theo's Ajna Chakra, initiating a connection between them, a sort of astral long-distance call.
"Hello."
