Remus had hurried off to the library after class, planning to grab one more book for his research before heading back to the dorms. It was turning out that the Confundus Charm was far more complex than he had anticipated. But that would have to wait until he could get to the bottom of what was bothering Sirius. ... if only he could find him.
Returning to the dorms, he found them empty, no sign of his wayward boyfriend. Wait a minute, what was this? A journal lay open on his bed, covered in a hurried, messy version of Sirius' flourished hand. He frowned. Had this been left here for him? It didn't seem to be warded so that he couldn't see it, and it was on his bed, so it would seem that perhaps it had been. But why would Sirius do that and not just speak with him?
He took a seat on his bed, pulling the journal into his lap and reading the entry. The frown only deepened as he read the words, pulling his knees to his chest. Oh, Sirius. No, he wasn't meant to read this. He closed the journal, carefully setting it on the bedside table. He hoped that Sirius would be back soon.
