Talismans are objects of power that characters get. It is specific to them, and only works while they use it. Anyone else picking up a talisman will fail to gain its ability at all. The abilities can mimic supernatural powers, etc. Each talisman also has a downside, which is also chosen by the creator.
For a silly example, a feather quill that not only never runs out of ink, but writes in whatever language is necessary at the time, regardless of whether or not the character knows the language. The downside is no other writing utensil works for the character.
Talisman/Owner/Ability/Downside: Violin / Monica / Sways the mood of anyone listening / She is completely vulnerable while playing, and she must finish the song
Talisman/Owner/Ability/Downside: Wooden ring / Eris / She has an affinity for, and the ability to leap her consciousness into animals / She's basically Snow White in her death state when she's not in her own head
