The man believed what Talos said about not showing any disrespect to his men, despite the circumstances Mr. Marrs trusted Talos, it was a feeling he got off the man, even though he was mixed in with the Alliance; that hadn’t stopped the old General before from trusting strangers. He could be completely wrong, but then he was only human. However he felt he’d be able to sleep better with his daughters off in-the-black with this man. Oh and plus there was the fact he knew his nephew Johannes would keep a watchful protecting eye on them both.
He simply nodded at the ‘thank you’; the man was sort of like a Shepard of lost sheep. He’d every once in a while take somebody in, and help them in any manner possible. It’s what God would do, and he felt that it was the only right thing to do. To help those that aren’t as well off as he, unlike the Alliance who fails to do what they promise for the people. Though his family will always be his first concern, and he has a very large family. But that didn’t just include blood relatives now did it.
He stood, returned the man with a salute. “Jonathan Marrs; General in the Independent Army at the time of War. Although now it’s just Mr. Marrs or, Sir does just fine.” He nodded his head slightly. He recognized the Nova Squadron, though he didn’t say so was irrelevant now. Also was all his list of projects he headed up personally, though Talos would have recognized a few; but chances were he may have known a few, or at least by word of mouth.
“I can lead you back to the main section of the house, and then from there Lula was planning on taking you to the ship at the docks. Once there I’m sure Emerald will want to speak with you further.” He told Talos as he headed towards the door.
