A post-apocalyptic, mutant game set in a small town outside Las Vegas. Looking for a people based game where people have special powers and are just trying to survive? Why not check out After the End…

The year is 2029. It’s been roughly seven years since the world ended, though the there is some debate in the timeline. I guess that’s par for the course when no on remembers what really happened, but that doesn’t always matter when you’re trying to make sure you have enough to eat and a roof over your head. But, here’s what people do know…

One, there were a LOT more people. There had to be. The amount of cities and buildings, homes and work and stuff left over, there had to have been more people. Just, no one knows where they went… or who they are. Sometimes I get feelings, where I just KNOW I knew someone who said something once. Just, can’t remember who they were or where they went. There are a few who were lucky enough to have their family not vanish. Well, at least as lucky as you can be to live during the end.

Two, no one remembers anything… at least nothing in detail. I mean I remember how to drive and my name. I know I was born in what used to be San Diego, but the details are foggy. I don’t remember who my parents were- but I know I had some and they loved me. I think I had a sibling but I couldn’t tell you much more. Some people remember more or less but no one remembers everything.

Three, everyone changed. Or maybe we were changed before the end, no one’s quite sure. Everyone seems to have something, a power or something physically strange with them. Some have more than one… this one guy I met seemed completely normal but he had pointed ears. Another guy could spit acid and change the color of his skin. It all seems like a crap shoot though.

And four, everyone is trying to survive.

I recently came across a small town called Carter, it’s in what used to be Nevada a few hours outside what remains of Las Vegas. Not many people go into the big cities anymore, they tend to be full of raiders and gangs of people who are more inclined to shoot first and screw the questions. Hopefully Carter works out though. It looks quaint and the people there seem to get along… for the most part. Well, as much as anyone can get along After the End.

    X-Project - An X-Men/MCU RPG on Dreamwidth

    X-PROJECT: AN X-MEN MOVIEVERSE RPG

Established in May 2003, X-Project is a journal-based RPG now on Dreamwidth. We use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and the slate has been wiped clean on all of our available and retired characters.

In January 2015, X-Project underwent a relaunch, which expanded the pool of usable concepts to all of the Marvel properties, regardless of who holds the licence. Using the X-Men franchise as a base, we are now pulling in elements from the MCU, Spider-Verse and other properties. We are also now on Dreamwidth, as of April 2017.

Check out the Wiki and the unplayed characters page to see what's available. Readers are highly encouraged! If you're looking for X-Men-based entertainment, X-Project welcomes you to read along and enjoy the ride!

A cyberpunk, futuristic game set in 2074. If you like Ghost in the Shell, Dark Angel, Blade Runner, and others take a look at New Dublin.

The year is 2074. The place is New Dublin. For the last three years the city has known peace. That on February 14th, 2074, that peace was broken. Now the tensions between the gangs have hit their breaking point, all bets are off.

But to know where things are, you have to know how it happened. New Dublin is a major harbor city made up of an amalgam of different cultures, races, traditions, tech. One thing it’s also made up of is gangs. Some say the city was established by gangs. For years gangs fought other gangs and people got in the crossfire. That was until the ceasefire and treaty signed in 2071. Five main gangs were given zones in the city to ‘rule’ over. Each had their own specialties and they knew better than to step on the others toes. As smaller gangs rose they were squashed and the peace lasted three years.

That is until Valentine’s Day. In the weeks leading up to the 14th, a new type of drug hit the street, the news named it ‘Kiss’ because those who took it were often kissed by death. The first death was a member of Camelot. Then the Sixth Street Rats. Eventually all the major gangs had at least one member drop except the Children of Darkness. The other gangs blamed the drug dealing gang and attacks started. Then on Valentine’s day at a party in the lower level of Warehouse 5, everyone was dosed with Kiss and died, 67 patrons. Having believed they’d been set up from the beginning the Children of Darkness started to fight back.

While the Treaty has been called off, daily life in New Dublin does need to continue. Territories are guarded even more closely but business goes on. Some deals between gangs still exist (ie. CoD escorts can still meet clients in The Wire territory), many have been called off. Neutral zones are on edge, but are sometimes the only place two gangs can do business.

In this new world of turmoil and war where do you stand? Are you a loyal warrior for your gang or a pawn just hoping to keep his head down and survive? Or are you an average citizen trying not to get caught up in the crossfire? Who will win the war? Can the treaty be saved? That’s up to you.

A black view appears before you, Earth rising over some invisible horizon as music begins to... oh, sorry, that's not the space you're looking for - it's definitely not the future you've landed in. The year is 2365 and its nearly the end of April.

Springtime in a futuristic New York City that is far from Utopian.

There's no Federation or Utopia here. Capitalism, and the push back against it, continued after the 21st century and resulted in the reality you see before you. Earth remains supreme, but corporations and splinter societies have gone their separate ways to colonize the Milky Way - some for better, some for worse.

Alec Sadler, a refugee himself, was the first to find the other arrivals, and encased in a material scientists began to call Amber, was Aragorn - a king far from his mountain side country. From there, the exploration began. Its been over 14 years since and Sadler is aging out of the very company he founded, and the board of SadTech is slowly becoming more and more self aware as they near the precipice that is finally opening the pods in large groups...

They only thing they have to hope for is that, under the guidance of Aragorn and Delenn - another early arrival - that those that get reawoken... well, hopefully they intend to play nice and not destroy their gratis apartment too quickly or start any untimely wars, because shit's about to blow.

REVOLT is a pan-fandom game where original in-verse characters are allowed. Taking place in 2365 the game primarily revolves around the lives of 'amber refugees' and will focus on mod and player driven plot. This is an action game.

The difference between History and Legend can sometimes be a thin one. The best example of this would be Candle Cove, California. History tells us that many years ago, the town, whose original name has been lost to memory, was being ravaged by an epidemic of Cholera. Treatment was spread too far along the west coast, and the city was deemed expendable. The state government decided that it would be better to contain and destroy the disease rather than treat the population. In the dead of night, the state’s militia locked the citizens in their homes then set the town on fire. Anyone who tried to escape was shot, and their body thrown to the fire. The incident was kept as secret as possible, but they could not hide their guilt from everything.

That is where Legend takes over. It is said that so much death in one location, so many innocents sacrificed, cursed the land and punched a pinhole in the fabric of reality. The evil of the government’s actions permeated the area. It drew the attention of the things in the dark, creatures of the Netherworld. Demons. Slowly, over time these beings rose, lured by the sweet taste of innocent blood spilled. By the time the first monster emerged through the hole the town had been rebuilt, repopulated and renamed Candle Cove from how sailors on ships off shore said the town looked as it burned. The new residents had no idea what was about to happen.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary at first. Then pets and livestock began to go missing. The people blamed this on local wildlife, bears or cougars, but when hunting parties came home empty handed suspicion began to grow, followed quickly by an instinctual fear. They were right to be afraid because soon it was children then adults that disappeared. People began to see things in the shadows of the forest around the town, in the alley ways. In their homes. Things hunted anyone who dared to venture out at night. Finally, people decided things were too weird, too dangerous in their quaint, seaside town, and they tried to move away. Only the things of the Netherworld took a page out of the militia’s playbook. The town limits were guarded. Anyone who tried to leave was viciously killed, their corpses left as a warning. You can enter, but you can’t leave.

Time passed with the creatures and monsters taking up residence alongside the citizens. Word got out and others were drawn to town. Hunters. Investigators. And other creatures who could feel at home there, such as vampires, ghosts and werecreatures. Yet, even though they are drawn there for reasons only the things beyond the pinhole understand, they are unaware that they will be unable to leave Candle Cove.

    Until it is too late.

When Darkness Falls: A Multi-City Supernatural RPG

WE ARE A MULTI-CITY GAME FEATURING NEW ORLEANS AND BOSTON! WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING HOLDS AND APPLICATIONS FOR BOTH LOCATIONS!

When Darkness Falls is a multi-location original character role-playing game set in the iconic ciies of New Orleans, Louisiana and Boston, Massachusetts. The story began in November 2012 when supernatural beings were still hidden from the public, living alongside unsuspecting humans who were never the wiser. Werewolves, vampires, shape-shifters, gifted humans, and others struggled to keep their secrets, while still maintaining relatively "normal" lives.

In 2014 a group of humans, bent on exposing the supernaturals for what they are, began cropping up in cities across the globe including New Orleans and Boston. Their cause grew quickly, and despite resistance the supernatural community was exposed to the world in grand fashion.

In New Orleans the initial reaction was to condemn supernaturals, to lock them away and to keep their kind away from humans. This proved futile, however, as the supernaturals banded together and fought back. The war between the human and supernatural worlds did not last long, however, before the government began to intervene.

In Boston the news of the supernatural world was swallowed with a bit more ease, though unrest was soon apparent. While no fighting broke out there was a push to separate supernaturals from human beings for safety reasons, a movement that was quickly squelched out when the government stepped in to run the show.

Presently the world is still making a shift toward a new era, where supernaturals and humans can co-exist together in a world no longer segregated by lack of knowledge. There are those who still oppose this movement, though laws and regulations are now in place to protect the interests of all parties. While humans must learn to cope with the new world order, supernaturals must learn to adjust to no longer lurking in the shadows; darkness is no longer their ally.

Opened in November of 2012 and still going strong! Looking for active players who love to write!

They wanted to have families, someone to carry on their legacies. They started to have children, and juggle family responsibilities with saving the world.

They wanted to have families, someone to carry on their legacies. They started to have children, and juggle family responsibilities with saving the world.

As their children got older, some of them decided to follow into the "family business". They started to take up the mantle's of their parents, or create something completely new and their own. These are their stories. The time of the old guard is past. Now is the time for the new generation to shine and start making their own stories.

[info]newlegacies is a next generation game set in the Marvel 616 universe. Original character friendly and adult versions of current canon children in Marvel Comics are welcome. The game is thread driven, with a focus on allowing players to plot not only for their characters, but for the game as a whole.

Having been unseen for years now, the reappearance of The Carnival draws attention to the towns its visited in the past. It doesn't appear to be much at first glance. The fence that encompasses the perimeter is covered in black tarps and old sideshow advertisements that depict women lying with snakes and men swallowing swords. Visible against the alluring ads are unmistakable signs stating "No Trespassing."

The official Carnival sign remains unlit and unimpressive until sundown, when it lights up and draws the eye. Something about it is hard to explain and impossible to walk away from as it lords over the ticket booth manned by two masked figures. Once inside, guests are only charged extra for food and services, such as fortune telling or face painting. All of the night’s shows can be viewed freely.

There are tents and booths; some are big, some are small, and some are six stories high so acrobats can easily fly through them. Booths might be selling wares or letting you sample their baked goods, while others may offer tarot readings or be throwing runes. Occasionally there are barkers outside shows, advertising those inside and drawing people closer. With a large Ferris wheel lit to illuminate the grounds, the gates stay open from sun down until sun up.

Guests can’t count on the Carnival’s arrangement being the same if they return for a second visit. Things seem to always move. New acts are added and show locations change to force guests to see new attractions. Set up in a series of corridors, it’s easy to get lost, which is exactly what the Carnival wants: to get you lost, to spend more time, to see more things.
