a break from 40forty

Had a rough day personally, lot of stuff going on at home so no prompt today. Sorry guys, but use the last few days for inspiration.

Today's word count is 5055

Day four! Keep it up you guys! Weekends are hard on me too because I work, so I'll have some work to do to get to today's word goal of 4044!

I know I posted a musical prompt yesterday, but TODAY'S ALMOST OVER and I'm flustered trying to find something inspirational that isn't music. Also I'm a sleepy-head, so this song fits. I hope the music makes you feel something. I know this makes me giddy and makes me feel young, so maybe you can write something young and fresh!

Your prompt today is a beautiful song by the Fleet Foxes called White Winter Hymnal. I think of it as sort of a new Christmas song, but there isn't really anything Christmassy about it. However, I am SO DAMN COLD TODAY so I thought of it! It's a beautiful piece of music and I hope it inspires you in some way.

It's day two here on 40forty, and I'm so happy to see that so many of you wrote yesterday! Your word goal for today is 2022 words.

Two characters have not seen each other for ten years. A lot has changed in their lives, and neither is the same person that the other knew.

Include the words: stick, butter, stairwell.

Hey everybody! Welcome to day one of 40forty! I know there aren't that many of us, but if anyone wants to be a late-comer to the party, I don't mind. You can catch up at any time.

For those of us who are here, YAY AND WELCOME! I have a really good feeling about this.

Your word goal today is 1011 words, and it can be done in any format. If you don't get around to posting daily, you can just double up your words the next day or catch up whenever you have the chance. No pressure!

Looking forward to seeing you all posting! I'll be working on mine, a drabble I think, when I get home from grocery shopping. Woo woo! EXCITED. OMG.

Also, I made us a twitter for doing word sprints. I'll be online there quite frequently, and we can all write together! click me - unfortunately 40forty was taken by some TIT who only made two very useless tweets, so I had to make it 40fortysprint.
