I have to get extra to take to Jules, or she'll never forgive me," he admitted, voicing his previous thought as a way to push the confusion from her hot-and-cold yo-yoing from his mind. There were a couple tables right outside the narrow shop, but they were both occupied, and a few more inside the shop, with only one not occupied. Judging by the line at the counter, that table would probably be claimed shortly, too, but Thad wasn't terribly worried. Hopefully she wouldn't mind it if they ended up having to walk and eat at the same time.
