Re: Tina, Liam, & Miguel - Just after 7pm
It was never a bad idea to support a good cause, but Liam was really most interested in the concert that would be happening after the date auction. And really, he did not want to think about how strange the whole auctioning people thing was, even if it was just a date with the person. But the food had been quite good, and since he hadn't been in the mood for dessert just yet when the orchestra started up, he stood up and wandered around.
And that's when he spotted her.
Liam attributed that kick in his stomach to simply be comfort at finding someone he knew and was comfortable with at these more awkward and stressful moments of socializing. It would be so much easier for him once the concert was going, but for now, talking to her would be easier. That adorable, slightly crooked smile was on his lips as he approached her.
"Hey Tina," he greeted her. He wasn't really surprised she was here, as they'd talked about their plans for the weekend at work during the week, as they often did these days, but this wasn't theoretical now. He glanced around briefly and was struck with the strangest impulse to ask her to dance. And although he might normally have taken much longer to mentally debate the pros and cons of doing so, time was rather limited tonight. And so, he held out a hand to her. "Would you like to dance?"
